Places to eat in Glasgow?

Hello all! I’m travelling up to Scotland this week to see the Edinburgh military tattoo but we’re doing a package type holiday thing and we’re staying in the Glasgow Victorian railway hotel.

Does anyone have any suggestions for great places to eat that are nearby please?

Cheers, Amanda

I would love to go to Scotland to the Highlands. Sorry I don’t know anywhere to eat, but have a lovely time.

If you’re pushing the boat out, try The Bothy. Hope you enjoy the whole trip!

Hi hope you have a great time. If you like Italian would recommend Sugo in Mitchell Street in city centre, not sure if thats near your hotel, but the food is great. It’s big and lively and the food is super fresh and really tasty. Enjoy!

I have to suggest the Willow Tea Rooms Sauchiehall Street. We went to Glasgow many years ago so that I could visit the Mackintosh houses and the tea room is worth a visit just to see the building and the interiors. Afternoon tea is very expensive but was fabulous. We balanced it out with some cheap meals in Wetherspoons .
