Is it just me or does anyone else find their receipts print out really small? I know my reading glasses are a bit ancient, but I’m sure the receipts used to print bigger!
Is there a setting I need to adjust to get them to enlarge a bit when they print?
Mine are printing out the same size as always - have you checked your printer settings? (have a look under properties/ page set up when you go to print something)

How big does your receipt info print? Mine only takes up about half an A4 sheet now (actually it’s less than half) and the font is tiny.
Mine is still the same, fills A4 sheet. Letters are probably about 2mm -2.5mm
How odd - mine were printing normally until a couple of weeks ago - although they never filled a whole page - but now they’re barely legible. Yet all my other printing is unchanged, as far as I’ve noticed, it’s only the Folksy receipts that have shrunk!
@dougfolksy - Doug, any ideas what might be causing this, please? I’ve checked all my settings, and everything looks fine. I’m struggling to read them, they’re printing so small!
Fills an A4 page (well its got space at the bottom for me to write a message), letters look like 8 or 10 point (2mm high). Fingers crossed Doug has the answer.
This happens to me occasionally. The receipt is generated as a pdf file which is sent to print, and it’s at the pdf generation stage it goes wrong. If you dive into your ‘advanced’ print settings you are I think looking for something called ‘scaling’ - try tweaking that, closing the receipt, and re-generating it.
Thank Helen. I’ve looked but can’t find anything like ‘scaling’ in my print settings. Where exactly are you accessing the ‘advanced’ settings you’re referring to? From the print preview screen?
Edited: Oooh, I think I’ve found it. The ‘scale’ option was hidden at the bottom - for some reason the whole thing isn’t usually visible on my laptop, the bottom of the page disappears - but I viewed in full screen and it was there, and the scale was set at 75% instead of 100%. It’s now back to normal, which was still only half a page, but at least it’s legible.
Do you normally set yours larger than 100% to get a full page receipt?
Now, wouldn’t you guess, I can’t find it either. You could try it a bit bigger and see if you like it better!
