I’d love to put some fun posts on Facebook etc. that promote Folksy and fellow folksy makers but completely understand that there should be some ‘regulations’ or ‘guidelines’ when you mention folksy in a personal post (as opposed to official approved folksy promotion). I would be very interested in hearing views (and official guidelines) on this topic. Here’s something I did for fun but have not posted as I don’t want to step on toes etc.
Love it! Can’t imagine there’d be any issues as we’re encouraged to promote, you’re not claiming it comes from the company itself and it’s all positive. All power to you
Thanks for your kind response Feel Felt Found.
I think that’s wonderful, like @feelfeltfound says I can’t see that there would be any issues.
That’s great! Can’t see why it would be a problem. We need more people to hear about Folksy.
Looks good. I think as long as you tag folksy & any fellow makers (if possible) you are including there shouldn’t be any issues. I do a Folksy Friday post most weeks & always include links to any items I include and have never had anything but positive comments.
Cheers Lou
Love it!
The more positive promotion the better!
I’ve had a hunt around to see if I could find any ‘official’ guidance - the best I’ve found is about using the folksy logo when promoting our shops/ items (Using the Folksy logo – Folksy Support & Knowledge Base) .
Since your promotion is positive I say great, keep on going.
I think it’s a great idea, and I love your poem - the worst thing about Folksy is that so few people seem to have heard of it, and we SO need to change that.
I found Folksy through other places, so I’d say definitely plug it on Facebook. Not enough people seem to know about it, so the more voices talking about it outside of the site the better! Facebook would definitely be a great place to find new buyers and sellers
I don’t really see any problems with sharing positive promotion of it so go for it!
Love the poem… @Fififoxi
And I just wanted to add, the more getting the name out there surely has to better, because I like others, hear a lot too that they have never heard of the wonderful Folksy.
I am not on FB though just IG, and I did this around this particular Folksy logo, and I post it on IG now and again, to push the Folksy word out there!
Don’t think (hopefully) I am breaking any rules, as I do it around the promotion of my folksy shop.
I am happy (if folksy is ) if others wish to use it too!
Judy
Ah sorry I see the picture isn’t showing as the right size!
I have always used the correct square format, but since it seems to have changed here on the forums, it comes out bigger! Mmm…
Not sure I can change either, so if you did want it, look on my IG @judymuddmade grid where you will find it.
Thanks everyone for all the kind comments I will be putting the poem on facebook etc. over the next few days PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE the poem on any sites you think are suitable with appropriate tags. I love MudMade’s picture too - I shall try to get that on social media in the next few days as well. It would be great to boost Folksy as much as possible as I’m sure there are lots of people who would love Folksy if they just knew about it.
Well done Anna, I love your poem and have shared to my personal FB page and will share to Plum Porridge soon. xxx
Thank you!
Love the poem. I always promote Folksy when promoting my own items and if people suggest they might turn to Etsy.
Bumping up in case anyone has missed Anna’s excellent work and would like to share to let people know about our lovely website. xxx
Thanks for bumping, I’d seen it but then forgot as was busy at the time, I’d love to use @Fififoxi and @MuddMade images if that’s ok? You are both very clever
Which reminds me I really need to make time to get to grips with ‘Canva’ ……
Hello Anna, @Fififoxi This is so good! Would you be happy for us to share it?
