Question for sellers of handmade beauty products

Hi, I currently make and sell jewellery, but am considering branching out and trying handmade solid perfumes and soaps. Looking into this, I see you need to obtain something called a CPSR report, and it seems lots of companies offer this. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a company? Thanks

Hi,

If you make soaps, butters, beard oils, lip balms or bath bombs etc it needs certifying by a chemist. Most companies do a package. The Soap Kitchen or Naturally Balmy are one’s I have used. They will send your recipes to a chemist and I find that most of these companies use the same chemist anyway! They will guide you through the process. If you go onto either of these websites you can usually buy a package which explains what they need from you in detail and what you get in return. Having used The Soap Kitchen and Naturally Balmy - I have had no problems with either. Both very professional and Hayley at Naturally Balmy was very friendly and helpful. You will have to wait several weeks to have your cosmetics assessed. Not sure what the timings are at the mo with Covid, Good luck!
