How do I refund a customer who paid with Stripe?
Just go into your Stripe account dashboard, look for the sale and the option to refund is there. Then let folksy know then they will cancel the order.
Ah but make sure you take a screenshot of that refund, as now, when you ask for the order to be cancelled you are asked to produce proof it has been refunded.
Unless it i just me who, after 15+ years of trading here, has suddenty been identified as dishonest ?
I might be wrong, but maybe it’s to do with the new requirement for online platforms to let HMRC know the number and value of sales if sellers hit certain thresholds, so they need evidence now if a sale is cancelled?

It hasn’t happened very often, but when I’ve needed to refund, I’ve always provided a screenshot - was asked for it a few years ago so I just provide it now. It really doesn’t worry me, tbh.
Thanks but I wasnt asked for one last time i cancelled in October 23 so rather surprised to be this time, for the first time ever.
