Just tried searching for an old listing in my shop using the ‘All’ feature. It seems that the items have been split up into pages of 20 items per page and the search feature only searches the current page - very frustrating when the item I was looking for was on page 10! Anyone else encountered this problem? I will email support.
Sorry about this, we’re currently working on improving the page, and although it’s not quite ready yet and we didn’t want to release it until next week, we had a problem with the old version of the page, so we decided this was better than the 404 that was previously showing.
We hope the partially working page is more helpful than no page to anyone who needs it over the weekend, and we’ll hopefully have it fully functional again (with more options than just edit) next week.
Just out of curiosity how do you search through listings in your own shop ??
I was wondering the same, as I dont think I have ever come across a page looking like the one shown! But I have just found it. On Dashboard, then under Items then click on All. It shows all your listings and there is a search box at the top!
Thank you @samazama Liz
Oh wow how did I never know about this before
…
It would be great if the numbers tallied up…it says sold 396, I have actually sold 432 and expired 11 ?? Not sure about that number, 11 out of 648 can’t be right can it, it does though show how many have been hidden which are items I have sold elsewhere that have originally been listed on here which is useful,
Joy @JOYSofGLASS Support got back to me and yes it is a bit of pain right now - each page contains 20 listings and if you search it returns matches only from the page you are on …. this bit is going to be fixed (I hope!!) On the plus side - if you click on the 3 dots at the right of the listing you can now relist/copy/unhide or delete a listing as well as just editing it which will be a bonus.
Similar to the list of listings you get if you click on “listings” rather than “ all”, except on that you then have to select active, sold, expired, hidden etc rather than have them all listed. You can edit, delete etc from there. That is the page I have always used as I hadn’t discovered the one we are talking about till now!
Hooray, finally it seems the ‘all’ function is getting the extra features it needs to make it actually useful, no more scrolling through pages of listings! Can’t wait ![]()
Yes It is very similar to the one we already had, not sure why we need it twice really unless Folksy will be deleting the original version.
I wanted to find an expired item to edit, so I went to manage listings, edited it and updated - all fine. However it then closes it down so I can’t relist. I then have to go back to the manage listing section and find it again, still in the expired section, then relist from there. Would be better if I could list it when I have edited it all in the same place. Just a suggestion, but I could be missing something.
@Bearlescent We added this page a couple of years ago when sellers were asking for a way to search their own listings (it was just called ‘all’ before so a bit easy to miss). For sellers that have hundreds of listings, the usual listings page wasn’t very easy to use when people needed to find a specific listing, as they had to look through pages of items to spot what they needed.
There was only the option to edit on this new page before though, so didn’t do what everyone needed. We just finally got around to adding all of the other options that sellers were requesting from it.
@kimfolksy the listings are much easier to see on the new version, it’s better than the previous one and I’ve just been back on it and tested the search facility. I was surprised to find I have listed 49 pincushions since joining Folksy, I didn’t realise I had made that many as I don’t keep an inventory of the embroidered gifts only the bears and dolls. It’s definitely going to be useful to have, I have only just started using the ‘copy’ facility for adding new listings. In the past I used the ‘selling folksy’ app to copy from a listing but I was having issues with it and remembered Joy mentioned how to ‘copy listings’ so I tried it a couple of weeks ago, wish I had realised what she meant years ago I could have saved a lot of time. I will now of course be doing it from the new manage listings facility.
