SEO listing and title help

Hello!
I joined back in November, but have yet to have my first sale on Folksy. Not sure if there is somewhere specific I should put this, but i’d really appreciate your help on coming up with a title for the following decorations…not sure what people would search for!
Thank you in advance!

Hi Hayley,
Your title could be “handsewn alphabet decorations” or something a little more inspiring than I’ve written.
Remember when you post to add this to your Pinterest feed /facebook and also X (Twitter).
the Pinterest feed limits you to 50 characters, this helps you get out there in social media land and hit a wider audience.
I’m sure there will be others that will help you and they have a lot more experience than me.

Enjoy, being on Folksy. Its UK based and only true crafters.

Thank you! I haven’t touched my Pinterest account in quite a while, so I hadn’t considered Pinterest. I’ll give it a try!

Also, I’m not really sure how to work the variations. This is what I’ve got as a listing so far: personalised valentine beaded letter ornaments - Folksy
I’ve just added the ‘&’, and now I don’t seem to be able to add that as another option (I guess there is a limit for number of variations)? Do I split into 2 listings? Halfway through the alphabet? Or just a separate listing for the ‘&’?

Hi there,

Had a look at the listing – and I’m curious – are your international postal prices correct? They look a bit low for an item being shipped international (outside of GB). Assuming you want to send them with a tracking number I wouldn’t put your shipping price on an international item for less than £11.00 // the actual price for international shipping on a ‘large letter’ size is £10.60 depending on weight). And even if you only wanted to send it international standard (with NO tracking) for a ‘large letter’ it would still cost £4.20. (so I would put the shipping rate of £5.00 on your listing).

But that’s just my 2 pence worth.

Good luck

Thank you for noticing that! I hadn’t realised I had it set that low! I will certainly adjust it now. I hadn’t considered putting tracking on it, but I guess it makes sense.

Sorry can’t help with the title query but I am waiting upon the return of amphibians in party hats so I can get one for my sister’s Christmas tree. She decorates it with animals and apparently amphibians are under represented.

That sounds like an awesome Christmas tree! The only one I have at the moment is a red frog with a gold crown …not on Folksy yet, as I thought I’d save it for next year, but if there’s a call for more…

Yes, I always put tracking on all my orders, especially the international ones. then I give the buyer the tracking number so they can follow the items journey to their home (and they can see that you actually posted it). I mean, I love to trust people, but some people have trust issues and I like them to be reassured.

And whilst the pricing might seem high – if people want the item, they will pay for it ! I promise. So, don’t worry about cost – you just price accordingly (shipping, plus whatever you spend for handling, ie packaging costs, etc).

Good luck with your sales
