Thinking about reopening my Folksy shop for my selling Sundays that I occasionally have. Do I need to have a stripe account? How have people found it as buyer and seller? is it worth opening? Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

You don’t have to have a stripe account, you can stick with just paypal. I have found that the majority of my customers have been using it as it is the default at check out if you do sign up for it (and I don’t mind as the commission is lower than paypal). I have used it when buying from other people on folksy and found it to be just as easy to use a paypal. I found signing up and navigating the stripe dashboard easy. Only down side is that it does take money longer to reach your bank account than with paypal.

I don’t know why you wouldn’t open a stripe account: not everyone wants to use paypal! It just gives you additional flexibility, which must be a good thing.
