I know what you mean Louise - I’m very disappointed and disheartened. I can only think there must be an software glitch somewhere ( or I am hoping! ).
I did a lot of work on my shop yesterday in anticipation and was crazily making new makes to post over the next few days and now nothing…

Scroll up the comments @islamaymakes - there’s a post from @folksycontent saying that there should be links but Doug has been in an accident so some of the links haven’t been set up. I already shared the Fb post about the summer sale first thing this morning - every little helps :grinning:

I really don’t like the choice of the adjective ‘little ‘ as in ‘little sister’ to the Summer Exhibition.

Little ;

small in size, amount, or degree (often used to convey an appealing diminutiveness or express an affectionate or condescending attitude).

I think there must have been a software glitch because Folky have given the impression that the Summer Selling Show would be advertised heavily on the site .

I’m in Krakow, home later tonight. I opened my shop last night early so my things would be sure to appear when the show appeared on the front page first thing today. :sleepy:

I was quite insulted to have my products and other hard working sellers items referred to as being in a bargain basement show.

I hope Doug has a speedy recovery and able to resolve the issue raised.

I think if you read the @folksy Facebook post it certainly doesn’t give any indication of being anything less than the exhibition - just different. Two different events gives opportunities for more sellers to be included and involved than if there was only one event. At least that’s the way I see it - and it was certainly well supported last year.

This show is the fantastic little sister to the Folksy Summer Exhibition, so if you’ve been enjoying that we think you’ll love this too!

When we were curating the Summer Exhibition we found that there were 𝑤𝑎𝑎𝑎𝑦 too many things that we wanted to include, and what we actually needed was two shows. And so the Summer Selling Show was born :star:

While the Summer Exhibition maybe has more of a fine art feel, and includes pieces that have already been sold or will never be for sale (alongside pieces that are available), EVERYTHING in the Summer Selling Show is for sale. There’s also more of a focus on gifts and products, although you’ll find plenty of amazing hand-crafted originals in both.

Head over to the show and tell us what you find.”

I think both shows have amazing work and I’ve had a flurry of activity in my shop already which I’m sure is from the show. I’m really pleased to be included. Thanks @folksycontent. I hope Doug recovers soon

Another brilliant exhibition this year - well done Folksy and thank you for all your hard work putting this together for our community. Love the addition of the exhibition shop this year, what a great idea!

Well done also to all the makers picked to appear in the galleries - not only for the pieces you have in the shows, but for putting yourself out there to be seen :star2:
