Thanks, Rachel

Thanks Anita! I have now received my invite, either as a result of your intervention or my original direct request, which was about 10 days ago I think. So it seems a bit hit and miss but hopefully all will get there in the end.

Have invited you, let me know if it works. Not sure if its instant

Anita

Sorry. I PM’d you and didn’t spot your message on here. Yes. I am not sure about instant but it worked very quickly. Am now up and running and starting to get some followers and likes. So it has worked well for me.

I’m just starting to dabble with Pinterest now, and I have my first question. I’ve registered with a personal account, but I see I have the option of customizing this to a business account? Is this a good idea? Or will I be left in the same situation as appears to happen on Facebook where, once they know you have a business account, you have to pay money or your outreach may be limited. Thanks.

Hi @SunSTRIKERs Yes, you should upgrade to a business account. In fact, if you are planning to use Pinterest as a business tool then you may be breaching their T&C’s if you continue using a personal account.
It’s not like FB, so they won’t restrict your pins if you are a business page.
When you convert to a business page, you can verify your website (you can’t verify market place websites like Folksy though) and you’ll get access to all the Pinterest analytics, so it’s really worth doing.
