Can anyone explain the stats. Just new to this but can’t find where it explains. Some are obvious but t.co ? Direct? Etc
t.co is tiny url - so if someone has shortened a url from your shop and then put it in eg a tweet it might show up as t.co rather than twitter.
Aaron did explain what direct was in another thread but I can’t remember right now - I think it was where they had either typed in your shop url to the browser or had followed an external link. Hopefully someone else can remember.
I found Aaron’s reply about direct (Aaron is one of the tech gurus)
“Direct” means when there’s no source that has referred the user to that page or the tracking code hasn’t been able to identify one. If you where to type in the item address directly into your browser that would count as direct.
Thank you @SashaGarrett
t.co is the URL shortener that Twitter automatically uses when you (or anyone else) posts a link on Twitter, so that one means Twitter.
Yes, direct means if they’ve typed your address directly in their browser/have a bookmark going straight there, and also includes any results were the source can’t be tracked, like if someone clicks on a link in an app such as Facebook, which then switches to a browser to open the link, so as far as the system can see the browser went directly there (what used to be misc in the old stats).
That makes sense now. Thank you.
