Valentine Page on Folksy - how to be included

Our new Valentine page is about to go live on the homepage and also here https://folksy.com/valentines

To include as many sellers as possible, the page includes both curated and non-curated sections. The non-curated sections are driven by tags, so if you have relevant items and want to be included in these, the tags to add are:

engagement rings: tag = engagement ring

valentine gift: tag = valentine gift

valentine card: tag = valentine card

gifts for men: tag = gifts for men

Please make sure you only tag relevant items!

Hi. I have all my Valentine makes with valentine gift, but non of my items are showing on the 9 pages. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

You are definitely there on the tag–generated pages - unfortunately there are 56 pages to look through, but I narrowed the search to the categories you use and here you are:

Folksy - Valentine Gift Ideas on Folksy (of which there are indeed 9!) is I think the one that is curated by Folksy staff picking items to include. Looks like they had a awful lot to choose from so I wouldn’t be too downhearted!

Well I know exactly how you feel because I too have none of my tagged items in this selection but what upsets me more is to see that in those 9 pages some shops have 7 of their items, some 5, some 4 etc, etc , how is a fair selection? - and as I have said before customers will think this is all there is when there are many other shops with valentine gifts.

Thanks a lot. I guess just linking to Folksy admin generated post, I should have gone into the specific tags. Will remember this as I do like to promote snap shots of pages I am on, but includes other shop owners. Kind of my version of Folksy Friday.

Yes, I did see that too. I guess an algorithm on both tags including shop names which would then only generate 1 item per shop would need to be created but that’s a huge script to write. I’m going to use Helen’s explanation. Thank you though for responding too, I don’t feel like a single shop getting lost on Folksy.

If you have tagged your items with ‘valentine gift’ or ‘valentine card’ they will be there on the page in the ‘More from our Makers’ section.
