Good evening all, hope you all had a good Easter. Been rather busy in real life to be too crafty this weekend - had quite literally a house full today - 12 people for dinner - that took some organising, and we’ve not long put everything back as it used to be before the day started!
Found some time to work on some more pictures, mainly vintage vehicles, here’s a taster of what I’ve been up to:
Morning waving hi to everyone, tiger is coming along very nicley Margaret, lovely sketches Stephie. Here’s the ACEO’s I did yesterday, will take proper pics to list them today
I have my monochrome sale all parceled up and ready to take to the post office, I have listed the other one on Etsy now, I will be doing some more in the style, maybe some ACEO too
I also decided to list my larger Sunset and California Poppies over there too, I will still be adding new paintings here but want to also try promoting over there a bit more too
Good morning all, thanks Hazel, have to admit I have a soft spot for bus rallies and there’s a decent one held very close to us every year I like having a wander around… I like your monochrome picture from yesterday too, very stunning - you could make a killing with that style - back in the late 70s used to spend quite a lot of time in London and there were a group of artists who used to sell their work in one of the places we passed through, one of the guys used to only paint white on black or dark grey and his work was stunning, always had a crown of people around him and always sold well.
Right, time for a new listing, and here it is - an A4 Giclee print, of Sennen in Cornwall, another one of those places I can get lost in time…
morning all, hopefully today I will have some painting time…hubby was on one of his shopping missions yesterday and we were out all day. At least I DID get a painting dvd out of it…for those interested in one stroke Painting…there is a dvd on create and craft at 9 am this morning…a lot of it is about cake decorating but the one stroke painting dvd is for paper OR cakes !!
here is another aceo from me…
.
Thanks Trevor, the response has been great, when I showed them in FB I got the most views I’ve ever had on a photo lots of comments too
I have one sheet of A3 black left so have been cutting it this morning, so there be a few more in this style - I have 3 cut ACEO and a postcard one but wanted to keep one as another A4 … Can get more black but not until I have another trip to town so not this week !!!’
Brenda I hope your neighbours are all OK, sounds scary, and sounds like you were all very lucky not to have anyone injured.
Love the buses Trevor. We have a motor festival every year in our town but so far no buses have put in an appearance. Maybe one day! It is still quite a young festival, it’s only been going a few years. Your Sennen picture is lovely.
Gorgeous ink art Max.
Hazel do let us know how the promoting goes over there. It’s too much hassle for me to run more than one shop. I sell well enough on here and I’d rather concentrate on creating.
Nice landscape Brenda. Enjoy you DVD!
I was experimenting yesterday with my sepia pen and watersoluble wax together. I quite like the results. This is a local pub. Can’t call it my local as I don’t go to the pub lol.
Good morning, everyone! Fabulous work on here from yesterday and today ( I didn’t get on here at all yesterday!)
Congratulations on the sales, Stephie and Hazel! Gorgeous work from both of you.
The buses are great, Trevor, and it’s a wonderful view of Cornwall.
I like Max’s collection of ACEOs and ink work - the colours and effect are so pretty.
I can see the tiger’s eye, Margaret!
Great stormy landscape, Brenda. Like you, I didn’t paint yesterday, but hope to get some done today.
Waving, Jeanie and Jacqueline!
Will do Stephie, it is hard over there but I’m giving it a go I really only do the same as I do to promote here and my website - Facebook, twitter, stumble etc and the teams if course - but the are just a post and run !
I manage OK doing folksy etsy and web shop but it’s eBay that I struggle with, didn’t seem to work for me, I sold a few but most at low prices, so I would rather have a discount here or there than do the eBay thing … Maybe I didn’t give it long enough to build up a following but I’ve got my hands full now with these three lol
Afternoon everyone, I’m on my phone so can’t see everyone’s posts now, love the pub though, I think you should do more pubs and then ask the owners if they would like them ? Good excuse to visit a few pubs too
@StephanieGuy We would have been ok yesterday as we are at the end of the cul de sac and the car was on a downhill run parallel to our drive so there was no way it would have affected us…The neighbours with the damaged car are wonderful…they are all smiles and just seem to have shrugged it off…what super people.
Trevor, /Hazel…we have 5 original paintings in our house and they are ALL black and white…they are striking and NO I didn’t paint any of them !!
Lovely robin and building/Pub Stephie…The dvd(that hubby bought me yesterday) was fabulous…all about painting with acrylics, so perhaps I can have another try…
C&C one stroke painting was also worth watching…
Waving Pam…painted 2 greetings cards this morning…might list them tomorrow.
I love to mix up old and new images an give the prints an ethereal vintage feel to the. Sadly I cant paint or draw so I make them by photo editing.
I cant seem to add images at the mo, il try again at some point.
LOL Stephie … I’m not surprised it sold it is great … Love the prints Grimm and the Ellie Pam.
Waving Brenda …
I have been painting some more black on white, having an absorbent surface for wax is trickier than you might think !!! so I have binned two but have three to show, back in a mo with pictures …
