This is the place to show and chat about all things Art …
Good Morning All, seems I’m first here today so I will start us off showing one of my new listings …
I sold both my Pink Flamingo and Kingfisher yesterday … they are listed as reserved in my shop awaiting completion
Well done on the sales Hazel, maybe you should branch out into different subjects more often as it’s been so successful! That pot of flowers is very pretty too.
Well done also on remembering that it’s Monday and we needed a new thread, I’d have forgotten I think! lol
Thanks Margaret … yes I am having fun with the birds and the other subjects … I am planning to try a few more exotic birds too
yes its a funny week being a bank holiday again so soon after the last one isn’t it …
I have been busy listing this morning but off out into the garden soon, it looks like it might be a nice day and there is lots to do out there …
Have a good day
Hazel
Morning Hazel and Margaret, I’d forgotten it’s a new week too, the bank holiday has thrown me. Sunny here too
Congrats on the sales Hazel!
Off to list a couple of sketches, back shortly…
Can’t for the life of me remember where I took the photo that this is based on, I’ll have to put my thinking cap on. I’ll have to find my thinking cap first lol
And these dolls house mountains are out of my head
Morning all, lovely flowers Hazel and fab little landscapes Stephie, been playing with my inks this morning here’s the results
Morning everyone.
Well done on your sales Hazel - I didn’t think it would be long before those went. Seems it’s been a good weekend for sales as I sold the first print of the Peacock Butterfly yesterday too! Sadly, I won’t make anything on it as there are set up costs for the printing process but at least I know that prints will sell.
Lovey miniatures Stephie - that sea is very atmospheric.
I like the background to those Margaret - how did you do them?
Gardening is on the cards today as the weather is set to be glorious. Maybe it’ll give me some inspiration.
Gaynor
Frame or unframed… never know whether to list paintings with or without frames, What sells the best?
Hi to you all xx Jeanie
Jeanie it looks best framed, no doubt about that! It’s beautiful.
I nearly always sell unframed due to the complications and expense of shipping glass, and other people’s tastes in frames aren’t necessarily the same as mine.
Thanks Steph! With these tiny frames there is no glass, just a tiny piece of acrylic that imitates glass, looks good as! I always photograph without the acrylic as it gives off a reflection!
Jeanie x x
ooops…showed this one on last week’s thread…lol…
SOOOO confusing with so many threads to choose from…
Lovely work everyone…well done on all the sales
.
Hi Gaynor they are alcohol inks on synthetic paper very difficult to control as the ink tends to spread and do its own thing! I create the watery effect with a mister spray of ink blending solution
Lovely Brenda in my minds eye I am waiting for an ice skater to glide across the lake. Beautiful miniature Jeanie, I have just been looking up frames for mine, so expensive for something so tiny! I may just try them unframed and see how it goes
Great miniature Jeanie and a lovely landscape Brenda … love the flowers Max, very pretty
Waving to everyone …
I have just popped online for a mo … as I had to list a couple of new birds, they sold via Facebook just now, I also had a third one to list and it sold before I could even promote it … seems Art In Wax is hot today … pardon the pun !!! as I sold a landscape today as well …
Your birds are so lovely Hazel, they really suit your style. Your turn to take centre stage
Max I know what you mean about dolls house frames, I look at them from time to time and never actually buy any.
I have posted this question on another thread but perhaps you clever techie peeps can answer this for me…
.
On my business cards, I have my folksy addy as www.folksy.com/shops/teabreaks I now notice that every addy says http://beta.folksy.com/shops/teabreaks do I need to add the beta part now or will the old way still get people to my shop?
The old way just got me to your shop so I think it’s OK Brenda. You can also have www.TeaBreaks.folksy.com (with or without the caps)
I painted a luna moth and some bluebells this afternoon
Afternoon ya all, just chillin here. Brenda, no need to change I expect the beta to be switched off soon now that they have upgraded all shops to the new format.
