mmmmm…thought the photo would show up here…
It can be a bit tricky posting links here Maria, when i do them from my phone they don’t always work
arrrrh the memories of youth … I didn’t like motor bikes but did go out with a chap who liked to drive fast, in a very old car as I recall lol
I’ve been busy this monring, web work again and sold 5 cards so just got them on there merry way
Nice blue skies here at the moment but it was a bit breezy out there …
I was playing with my new pens yesterday … I decided to try and sketch my rose from a photo on my phone, then I tried looking in the garden … we grown nice weeds here lol and today I have painted from the sketches in wax …
haa haa I grow nice weeds in my garden too Hazel, looking great
I love seeing work in progress Maria, your cats look great can I ask
how did you get the photo of your bunny rabbit and the wording in the blue box , like Max has also done, I can just about manage a straight forward photo insert
I just copied and pasted the link to the listing. How do you insert just a picture?
Ahh, I have got it, all this time I didn’t realise you can just use the link uploader single rectangular box,
I have been doing the uploading with the more button at the bottom of the rectangular box , which then gives me two rectangular boxes for link info,
for the pic only you have the two boxes, put image url in the first and then the page link for the item, which I am greatful to @fionaT for explaining on the images thread so well.
useful to use both methods I think, sometimes the pic alone has greater impact, sometimes the wording is really important
Hi All!
I’ve decided I need a big clear out of my growing pile of ACEOs so they are all buy one get one free for a few days!
Went to brilliant watercolour demo at the local art society last night and now really feel the urge to do some big landscape paintings, just got to get some of the colours he was using to experiment with!
Clare xx
good luck with your ACEO sale Clare. It’s strange that you don’t have a link to your shop against your name as the others do? Have you tried logging right out then back in again?
I’m assuming that if anyone takes advantage of your offer they’re refunded via paypal?
Here’s that rose I was struggling with at the weekend, it’s from Anna Mason’s book and it’s an exercise in getting tones right. I gave up following the instructions before long and just tried to get it to look reasonable as best I could!lol
WOW That is the most beautiful Rose Margaret
Thanks Hazel, a lot of work went into it!
Your rose is gorgeous Margaret, hope you’ll soon be painting one from your own garden.
Your rose is stunning, Margaret! A really pretty colour, too.
Wowee Margaret that is one really beautiful rose!
Have a look at this demo - truly amazing portrait concentrating on value and using all sorts of colours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruazvqznIJg
Ahh got it…thanks Fatema.
The watercolour demo sounds interesting, I really must go see some artists at work.
Lovely rose Margaret and Hazel the great flowers , especially love the bottom ones.
Thanks all for liking my rose. WOW Stephie, that video is amazing!
cute cats Maria
I’d not noticed I hadn’t got a link against my name so thank you Margaret!
Yes I will refund via Paypal for the second ACEO bought in my sale, could really do with making a bit of space for all the new ideas buzzing round my brain!
Your rose is beautiful Margaret, they are really difficult to paint too!
Sadly the beach triptych is a non starter, they didn’t like the quote. I can’t reduce it as the materials are pricey and each one would take about 10 hours work. Hey ho. I’ve detailed how the quote was made up, maybe they’ll come back to me.
That’s a shame, I wonder how much they thought it would cost. Maybe when they’ve thought about it they’ll get back to you.
