Severe headache and still got an afternoons work to get through…and its in a residential home which not only is very hard work due to lack of mobility on the residents part but also very hot and stuffy as heating is on all year round!
Off to Bristol tomorrow to take youngest to uni open day. Then a craft fair on Sunday. Hopefully things will be a bit quieter next week and I can get on with some of the ideas that are rushing around my brain!
Best dash - hope you are all having a productive day.
The nice sized flat with the lovely bay window!! Haha
Totally gave up on the idea of the hobbit house when we had a look around the nice flat. Living room is huge- ceilings are all around 10ft high (which I love!!) there’s a perfect room which I can have solely as my studio with a lively big window. The people who own it are lovely as well & want someone for as long as possible-my husband surfs with the owner too and so we’re moving in at the end of October for a really good price! It was an obvious one really to be honest. House is slightly newer than my current one (which is 1880) and unlike my current flat with the noise problem, the one we’re moving into was designed all along to be flats so the floors and ceilings seem really thick- we couldn’t hear a thing when we went at 7/8pm.
very excited!!! Just starting to work our way through our belongings and get rid of things we don’t want to take with us.
Thanks for asking!! It all comes together in the end! Haha

Good morning girlfriends, windy and dull here, glad I worked my ‘little’ butt off last few days on the lottie as it was such a pleasure being outside in the warm autumn sun.
All the threads at the moment are about gearing up for Christmas, it seems it should all kick off in the next week or so, fingers crossed! Quite exciting really. Love the thread about predicting your sales, quite motivational, need to sit down this weekend and look what I can do, along with working out bed rotation on the lottie! Clearly the two things go hand in hand!
Hope the drive to Bristol is a success Roz @OrchardFelts
When is the move date Susannah @curiousseagull
H ope you are back at home and someone is making you cups of tea and peeling grapes for you Dawn @hobbitgirlie1880
Have a good day everyone

Yeah…I can hear the wind blowing off the sea straight at my windows…waves sound big too. We’re expecting a fair bit of rain this morning as well.
Moving is last weekend in October. & fortunately it’s the October half term the 2 weeks leading up to it, so at least I can spend that time packing everything up. It’s an awkward move with it being literally about 6 houses up the road so can’t justify a van hire really- just recruiting muscle in exchange for food!! Haha
Hee hee hee I can hear the waves too, and squeals from the early morning swimming brigade! Hasten to add I am tuck up under the duvet with the window open, best place to be!
Good luck with it all Susannah,
Suzzie x
Thank you!! I can’t wait!! Thanks to the people that own it we can essentially do what we like- so thankfully our many many paintings and things will be spread around the flat and our house bunny can continue to do as she pleases! Haha
And I get away from the awful noisy and inconsiderate people we currently have living above us! Wooo!! Haha
Have a good day!!! Hope the weather improves where you are- we’re meant to get a nice afternoon.
Had a lovely time in Bristol. Despite a very wet and grey start to the day it turned out lovely and sunny. My daughter loved it although unfortunately her predicted grades may not be good enough to be offered a place but at least she has a baseline to compare other unis to and she could be lucky.
Now to prepare for tomorrows craft fair…
Good luck with the craft fair
Roz @OrchardFelts what is your daughter planning to study? Mine was given an offer by her first choice uni which she didn’t make, but they still offered her a place. I would have loved to go to Bristol Uni myself, but, at the time it was completely impractical as I wouldn’t have got a full grant because my parents lived too close, but I wouldn’t have been able to live at home because the bus service wouldn’t get me in in time for lectures! So I didn’t even apply, and went somewhere else.
Hi Rhiannon @RhiannonRoseJewellery - she is hoping to study child studies but they want ABB minimum and her predicted grades are BBB. It is apparently a very competitive course so they don’t often offer unless the predicted grades meet their requirements but we will have to wait and see what happens.
Did a craft fair today but spent most of the time in the car park after fire alarms kept going off! Still managed to make a nice profit though and stall fee refunded so a good day
