What does this mean on Facebook

(Pauline Hayward) #1

Just gone onto my facebook business page and noticed this at the bottom corner.

the create call to action button. Not sure what it means.

(Pauline Hayward) #2

Just seen someone on Facebook explaining it and I now have “Shop Now” on my business page.

oooooo I’ve no idea, it must be something new I wonder if it’s on mine as well.

(Jan Ryan) #4

I’ve just been googling to try and find out what it is, I think I’ll head over to your page and have a nosey

… Oooo it took me straight to your website when I clicked on it… cool

(Pauline Hayward) #5

Glad it works. Hopefully it might bring me some sales.

(Pauline Hayward) #6

Did you find it. I’ve now got a link directly to my own website. Its easy to set up.

(Eileens Craft Studio) #7

Yes Pauline it’s on my business page but not my personal page, I’ve no idea what it means.

(Liz Clark) #8

It’s for anyone with a business page to have a link directly to their website, shop etc. I’ve set mine up to go straight to my Folksy shop.

It won’t be on your personal page because FB doesn’t allow advertising your business from a personal page.

I just checked and I have it too so have set up a ‘Shop now’ button. It was really easy to set up…

just click on the ‘create call to action’ and it guides you through it…

(Kim Blythe) #10

Am I missing something or has this button replaced the ‘Like’ button. If so, how do people like my page…?

…just checked some other pages and the Like button is there as well…iI just can’t see it on my own page, which makes sense!

(Helen McCartney Designs) #11

Woo hoo. Thanks Pauline for pointing this out. I now have my ‘shop now’ button that takes people to my website shop page.

(Sara Leigh Thornton) #12

I set mine up the other day to link direct to my Folksy shop as it’s my main selling point  Very happy to have this instead of constant adverts on FB telling me to set up a Shopify shop!

(Bee Skelton) #13

Excellent! Thank you for the info. I thought it looked odd yesterday … but didn’t know what to do with it. Now have the ‘shop now’ button. Wonder if people will notice it?

(Pauline Hayward) #14

You can actually edit this as well which is good, so if for example you weren’t getting any sales on the page you’ve set it up for at least you can try any of your other sites etc.

(Emma Rogerson) #15

This is fab thanks Pauline - I hadn’t even noticed it.
Off to set mine up now too!

Saw it yesterday and wondered what it was, just set it up to go to my folksy shop, hope it leads to some sales

(Angela Harpham) #17

Wonderful, thanks for pointing this out had not spotted it on my page Set it to Folksy rather than my website and the link works

Must make sure I post at least one post on may Artist Photographer page each day. It might get more ‘likes’ too which hopefully will result in more publicity and sales.

Thanks for drawing this to my attention! I hadn’t noticed it! So nice to be able to have a link directly from facebook to my website!

(Karen Ellam) #19

Oh this sounds like a great new feature. I’m off to have a look now.
