What have you all been doing on this lovely bank holiday weekend?

I’d like to say that I’ve been having a picnic or something but I actually worked the whole weekend and now I’m at my Mum’s house caring for her.

Let me live vicariously through you and tell me what you’ve all been up to!

Hope you have some special moments with your Mum, and can grab some restful times in the week ahead.

We have just been for a walk along the sea front at Frinton on Sea. Lovely and warm, not crowded, beautiful.

Not a lot! :joy:

Saturday morning me and hubby weeded the driveway - the joys of renting! It needs pulling up and relaying properly with a membrane to prevent the weeds.

Saturday afternoon/evening my dad was over and had dinner with us as happens every Saturday.

Yesterday we just relaxed in front of the TV and I was doing some knitting.

Today hubby is back at work and I’m getting some blankets blocked and ready for listing. I’m not sure I’ll get photos done today as it’s pretty gloomy.

Doing lots of cross stitch. I lost my stitching bug over 8 years ago, probably triggered by grief for my Dad, but about a week ago I was feeling a deep inner call to have a go again, so I picked up an old wip and 5 days later I finished it! Now I can’t stop stitching again. So happy. Here’s the cross stitch I finished

Saturday we took our two retired greyhounds for a walk at Stourhead NT, with a group of other greyhounds (about 15 in total)

Sunday we gave our motorhome a bit of a clean after a trip away last week for a couple of nights, with the greyhounds

Today walked the greyhound and I’ve listed a few items

I have been adding more listing to my new Folksy shop. It is coming together now and hopefully I have set up the coupon codes correctly too.

This is lovely, I started cross stitch again too this year, after a 10 year + break.

Sounds like you have all been having a lovely time!

It must be the year to take up cross stitch again! I was eyeing up some cross stitch kits the other day!

Not very exciting I’m afraid. I haven’t been well, but feeling a bit better today so I made a Victoria sandwich for us to nibble. I also finished off a pair of knitted socks for my son in law, and am now knitting some wrist warmers for a friend.

Trying to distract myself by gardening as I have the dentist to visit tomorrow and I’m a real coward, so much so that I have a sedation! The garden looks good though.

Aww - I totally sympathise with you. I’m the same about the dentist. I made a video once after having treatment, telling myself that it was really OK and nothing to worry about. I sometimes play it back to remember that it wasn’t that bad - the only problem is that I think I’m lying to myself :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks Sarah, I know today worrying about going is actually worse than the visit tomorrow, especially as I will only be semi conscious :joy:. But I always know that and you’re right it never helps!
