You have a lovely shop selling beautiful jewellery. As you have many items in your shop would it be worth investing in the Plus Account and then you can list your items daily if you wish.
I don’t know how often you list at the moment but there is so much jewellery on here you do need to be showing in the first few pages. Just a thought, because can’t understand why you are not selling more.

Very interesting and encouraging to here this verdict! I was beginning to come to same conclusion. I promote on Pinterest, occasionally Craftfjuice and verbally through friends, but so far not had very many takers. Am quite new at this game though to be honest, only done one craft fair so far and my poppy brooches were a runaway success (coincided with Remembrance Sunday luckily!). But was thinking of giving up too…maybe try Etsy. Basically, think there is too much competition out there for these websites to work for me. Any tips?

@dawnsneesbyjewellery I did have Folksyplus so I listed everything I have in stock before it expired, hence the reason I have a lot of stuff in my shop. If I make enough nett profit between now and the end of May when everything expires to cover the cost, then I will renew it. However, as my sales dropped of the middle of last year, I am not holding out much hope of that happening which is shame because I love being on here and the people are much friendlier. Even if I do close my shop, I will still promote everyone else and maybe if things pick up I will reopen. I’ve got everything crossed that things improve between now and the end of May

No sales for me at all in February. January was really good and I thought things are picking up. It’s very hard to get noticed as there are so many cards here on Folksy. Still, will keep trying for another while, at least until my Plus account expires.

I’m sad to say my last proper sale was in December, just the 1 little item. I had a sale to a non payer yesterday, which happens regularly in Folksy for some reason. It’s such a shame, I used to have around 18 sales per month. There are other sellers with fancy hats ect similar to my shop, who I have noticed also have very few sales these days, it’s not just me. I will carry on listing just a few items for now, but I have all but lost hope and continue to do well in the “other side”, sue x

Thought I might sell something nearer mothers day but not sure now.
Promoted on Twitter yesterday, but for some reason, I never get a good response with Folksy. The other ones, I get good views when I tweet, I don’t do anything different. Very bazaar! I had just 2 views and they were probably me! Previous day 8!!! Why??? I’m so disappointed, I so wanted it to work here, I had so much enthusiasm, now its all gone…

Well my sales are nill this year…so I have reduced my pendants
from £12.00 to £7.00…in hopes of shifting some to make room for more items…thinking of Mother’s day gifts, maybe…
Sad really as we put so much of our time and effort into our making and crafting…My paint brushes will still be active in anticipation of more sales in the future!!.. for ever optimistic!!

Probably not the price that’s the issue. Shame you feel you need to reduce. If someone likes it, I’m sure they will pay. You, we, need traffic!!! Feel like I’m in a village where they’ve put in a by-pass! Hey we are here! Lol!
I would love to understand the method of getting traffic, but, I’m lost.
I’ve had 2 lovely orders this week - one for 12 items and one for 6.
Those whose sales are slow - please don’t give up! Sometimes it’s helpful to look at not how much you advertise/promote, but where you do it. For example, if you do work around a theme of flowers, join groups or forums for gardeners, florists etc. Join in with the conversations, find out what people like, then gradually introduce your work to them (nobody likes people who join a group/forum just to sell their work and not join in with the other members). I’m not meaning to poke my nose in or offend anyone, but sometimes the quantity or promoting takes over, and when sales are slow we get stuck in a rut, and it’s just a case of approaching things a little differently, if you see what I mean.
Im always open to suggestions @DandelionsGallery I don’t want to loose friends by forever plugging other peoples things in my Facebook news feed. I’m sure it can be hidden as more than likely mine are, and promoting each other is relying on the other person to play fair. But would love to find a nice way to promote. I spend more time on this than making. So pleased you are getting sales, more than likely loads are getting sales, they have the balance and the promotion right. Will look out for site with forums to get seen. I guess the only type is the mums ones. Or wedding?

I WANT my Folksy shop to succeed, but I need a serious rethink about how much time and effort I am willing to put into promoting a site that gives so little in return.
Same here! I think going plus was wasteful, made same mistake with Zibbet, I get more views on my website without promoting, I even get goggle views on the other side, what is going wrong on here??
