Yaaaayyy..First Sale 💃

Today I made my very first sale. Though not directly only folksy. I just wanted to share with you all who encouraged me to keep going when I felt nothing was shifting. I remember all of your kind feedback on my work. You encouraged me to stick to my prices and to keep pushing when felt things weren’t shifting. I believe this is just one of the many to come.
I woke up yesterday and simply decided to do a tough stitch pattern for a neckwarmer and a friend paid for it right away after seeing it.
Thank you Folksy family

Oooh I think you may have something with this design - a lovely alternative to the traditional scarf. I can see this selling well particularly in the run up to Xmas - and summer’s the time to start planning and making. I’d defo recommend focusing on things that are a bit different to what people can get elsewhere and reckon you’ve hit the nail on the head with this - well done!

It’s gorgeous. You should definitely make more of these. I think later in the year they could be very popular.

That’s really lovely and, like others have said, I think they would sell really well in the run up to Christmas in lots of different colour ways. I think you’re on to a winner there. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yo Patricia

Congratulations…How lovely. Have you tried promoting your work through Instagram. I say this, as I wanted to follow you, but notice that your Folksy Shop had no links.

Adding Facebook, Pinterest, or as I said, Instagram would help get you even more sales.

@Plaindotty. Thank you very much and yes,it does feel so good and having one more order after that😊. Can’t stop smiling.
I think I still have a lot to learn how folksy works. I thought I added my social media links but looks like they’re only visible to me to some reason. Let me follow the link you’ve shared and add my IG. Thank you

Of course you could always list the neck warmer you’ve already sold to your friend as a make to order item - that way you can list now while you make more or only focus the time and resource after you’ve had a further order been paid (if it’s really feasible to make them as you sell them). You could also list it offering different colour variations you could make to order. Good luck

In addition to what @feelfeltfound says, could you list the one you sold to your friend as a custom order, then she can leave you feedback aswell. It’s always good to have feedback as it can sometimes encourage people to buy from you
