Are your sales picking up yet?

yeh ! Joy , what drastic action did you do?

First of all I paid Ā£8 for a Facebook promotion… (but ssssh then I also added a few suncatchers to my E not-used-very-much shop then had to remove one of them as I just sold it here !)

One of the tweets I did earlier reached a potential of 120K people! Been watching your tally go up this afternoon

Whatever you did it obviously removed my invisible cloak. Thank you and British Crafters so much.

I’ve had a couple, but it’s so slow compared to how it used to be. What is happening with Folksy? It seems to be getting less know, rather than more known about. Surely Folksy should promote their site, after all if we all had sales they would get more income.

Folksy has always been pretty slow for me…But I do like the idea of a UK based site, so I keep on renewing and adding new stuff. Not sure when Christmas is going to start, I remember it was pretty slow last year, so not holding my breath…Here’s a Christmas chicken to put you in the festive mood!

Yes, really well, but just not here

I would LOVE my Folksy shop to do well - I really want to support UK businesses. So that’s why I keep listing items here as well as my other shop, and also keep promoting both shops.

Sadly I have only had one sale here in October, and one so far in November, with a grand total of 15 in 2016. My other shop has sold 14 items in November alone, and another 17 in October.

Maybe the new tags pages will help. . .

A real flurry in October and then a bit quieter.

I had a mad sales flurry 2 days ago, when it turned out my item was featured on a Folksy newsletter. Now it’s gone quiet again and I’m wondering why it takes being featured to get people to want to buy my items… don’t they find them at other times and why not? It’s puzzling.

I think your jewellery is lovely Christine and so reasonably priced. I’m sure you will sell lots more, I know what you mean though about being found. Something has definitely changed on here in the last few months, too many long time shops on Folksy saying the same thing. It can’t be coincidence.

And doesn’t the Folksy newsletter only go out to fellow sellers?

@thesherbetpatch Sarah there are (or at least were) 2 versions of the newsletter - 1 which was full of tips etc for sellers (it had the high 5s at the bottom) and a second which was for anyone who signed up for it (seller or not) which would have links to new gift guides, details of who was the featured shop etc. I haven’t had a tips for sellers type one in a while.

I didn’t get the high fives one, which is a shame because I reached 700 not long ago… It is a bit like preaching to the converted though, only reaching people who are already signed up for Folksy…
