Are your sales picking up?

Thanks for this Joy I only started on FB earlier this year and I’m still trying to get the hang of it. Because it’s easy to Tweet from here, and have tweets go to FB automatically that’s what I’ve mostly been doing. But if no-one is going to see those posts then I’ll just have to allocate extra time to tinkering and sneak past the FB meanies.

Unsure if replying in the right place … Our sakes have picked up for October but via ebay

Still not for me, in spite of my 20% off offer…

Hallelujah…finally got a sale and not from someone I know !!! …plus I had another one via a different source and my sister and brother in law are going to take spare stock into school as they are both teachers. Lets hope the Xmas rush will now start for everyone !!!

I sold a pendant to a fellow Foksy seller and I’m hoping she likes it. Still listing things, though it does seem to take ages to do. Would anyone else agree that a saved template would be useful, with the used-every-time phrases?

You can copy an existing listing and just change the bits that aren’t the same. It saves me heaps of time when I’m listing.

Go to your ‘listings’ and on the right of each one there’s a ‘copy’ option.

Thanks Chrissie. Sometimes I can’t see the wood for (Christmas) trees!

The sales were good in September then I was out of UK for three weeks, just came back this Saturday. Now I am waiting for the sales to pick up again, I hope :).

In a word, no. Nothing since August and only 4 views yesterday.

I have had only 3 sales since June, I promote in fb, Twitter and Pinterest. I have promoted my page and boosted posts through fb, but that obviously costs. It does increase my views. No sales, starting to feel a bit disheartened.

The beginning of September was pretty good and I made the best seller list but since then with the changes to the home page it’s been very quiet on folksy for me with just a handful of sales. Luckily Etsy has been very busy for me. It’s very interesting to see how many people’s sales have been affected by the front page change.

Sales for me have definitely not picked up in October. I am in my second year of Folksy selling (from April) and this is the first month I have sold less than the year before. Just when I was getting ready for a busy month!! I am not doing anything differently, other than promoting more, so it is all a bit frustrating. Hopefully the Christmas rush will start this month.

I had a shock when I looked at my shop views graph this morning- the lines for last year and this year are so far apart, with this year’s line continuing to plunge. I also paid just 4.38 in fees this morning. Last October £8.61. October 2012 £18.59 (and not including listing as I was a plus seller).

My October views were definitely down on last year too, although the preceding 3 months were higher than last year. I only had a couple of sales on here in October, and it wasn’t much better elsewhere, so a lean month for me. Last year November was the best month of the year, so I’ve got everything crossed that it will be this year too.

My views are up comparing year to year, but then again, last yr I was getting over my brain haemorrage, but sales are terrible. Not even made the “Recent activity and our favourites” page for a good while. How are new listings picked for that page? Any tips would be grand as I’m disappearing under things to sell and my “me” time is crafting!

I’ve had my first sale for 2 months, only something little, but a sale! (Thank you Susan @dottiedesigns, it was the item you kindly featured.) I’m waiting for the Christmas rush! I too am disappearing under a mountain of items.

Hi everyone. I’m new to Folksy. I opened my shop in October but haven’t sold anything yet and shop viewings seem to be decreasing if anything. Any good tips.Thanks.

Pleased about your sale, it does give you a lift. Let’s hope for many more.

I have to say im totally fed up with it all :unamused: - I really don’t know why they had to change the front page again - it’s so limited now, most of my customers aren’t registered so wouldn’t sign in anyway - so they miss a lot of variety. I know they can search, but if something nice catches the eye - it gives people more ideas of what may make a nice gift - anyway…ho hum… I’ve started listing my stuff elsewhere
