Good morning all, I have returned! Spent the last year developing my new business and that’s taken up so much time it’s unbelievable, but I finally have some spare time to concentrate on my pictures, so of this morning my shop has reopened! Needless to say, there’s not a lot in it at the moment, but more will be appearing soon!

Brenda they quoted me £20 for 25 mounts, which is cheaper than the range but I need to mock one up first to check that really is the size I want to go for. Your fantasy aceo is gorgeous, the colours are lovely.
I only tape at the top, which is what our local framers do. If for any reason the paper absorbs moisture it’s less likely to pop off the tape if it’s not taped all the way round.
If you want to remove masking tape from your mount/painting, use the hairdryer on a gentle heat and it will come away easily without damaging the paper surface.

Wills are a difficult subject, I have to be honest and admit I stopped looking at your FB page because it became so much about wills. I know how important it is to have one, but don’t wish to be reminded about death all the time when I log on looking for fun and entertainment! Are you planning to have separate FB pages, one for your art, and one for the ‘other stuff’ ?

Yes, I still read the thread, but have been trying to get more stock into my little Folksy shop. It’s got some new paintings in, and I was thrilled to be included in the Father’s Day Gift Guide.
The work on here is, as always, stunning - you are an extremely talented bunch. The diversity of artwork is also a pleasure to see.

Margaret - I was forced for a while to promote my business on my Facebook page to get Google recognition for the website - now it has, I only do it as a repost early morning and late evening just to appease the Google bots… I have other ways for getting it recognised by potential clients, afraid you have to blame Google…
I’ve also become a Plus seller too, thanks to a series of conversations I had with Brenda - thanks Brenda (you sure you’re not on commission with Folksy…? )

This is the painting where I got carried away and forgot to leave a border and when I put a mount on it, too much of the painting got covered up, so I am listing it UNmounted.
Stephie that sounds like a good price for the mounts and in future, I know not to tape all the way around the painting…good advice from you and Tessa.

I’m weary after an afternoon’s gardening, I’m getting too old for all this digging holes and stuff, great fun though and the weather’s been perfect!
I sit and look out over the sea every day Margaret…unless it is cloudy…lots of white horses on the sea today…very windy.
I haven;t had time to paint today…but I have been watching a Ron Ranson dvd on painting skies…now I have lots of inspiration.
Good to see everyone so busy and new faces (atleast to me… Hi Trevor!) I’m still busy with commissions, sadly not through Folksy. But one of my clients has given me permission to show you one of them.
