waving everyone…quiet in here today. My artist and Illustrator magazine came so I have been looking through that. Hopefully the other magazines will come by the weekend. I also have “The Artist” and “Leisure Painter”…and of course the SAA magazine…All Christmas gifts on subscription…lucky me…but it means that I have 42 art magazines each year !!!

Good morning, waving hi to everyone, lovely work everyone.
I’ve got an earache so not felt like doing anything much, have a lot on in work too. Looking forward to art club tonight I missed last week due to late meetings but nothing on today a quiet day in the office to catch up so will definitely be going and doing a demo on ink painting on tiles 
Wish I was near enough to go to your art club Max! Hope the earache clears up soon.
I’ve got my oil painting class to look forward to on Saturday morning. It’s only 2 hours, and I think we paint a simple seascape, but it should be fun!

I haven’t painted for a couple of days now - I finished my cupcakes and found I had run out of card … Not like me - but had a delivery yesterday 150 sheets - 50 of which are A3 as I have some larger pictures planned

I store a lot of magazines in solid boxes but I hate clutter and hubby loves clutter, so I am secretly going through the magazines and cutting out any nice reference pictures and articles and sticking them in a book…then secretly losing them in the recycle box !!! (ssssh)…he will never know.
Actually, strangely , yesterday he saw in an email about the article on cameos . (he has the emails sent to him because he paid for the subscription as a Christmas present)…he told me that he would like to read the article. When he did, I noticed that it was by “our” Tessa Spanton…I am sure he didn’t believe me when I said that I knew Tessa…lol.

Good point Brenda, it’s worth planning how you’re going to get it home, even if it’s just a short walk - you don’t want an oil painting flapping around in the breeze, it’s so easy to get covered in the stuff. When I did an oil workshop I had to take 2 trains to get it home…I took 2 flattened cereal boxes, which I opened up , taped the painting down to the inside of one box and then taped the 2 boxes together back into box format. Did that make sense? I feel like I’ve just waffled a lot!

Son has now arrived from Scotland. He and his mates are going mountain bike riding in Brecon over the weekend…so I have 4 sleeping here tonight, as well as the normal 3 of us…chaotic to say the least,

The boys (men in lycra) have gone off to Brecon mountain bike riding for the weekend…left all their ladies behind. Now to try to catch up from yesterday…
