Fab work everyone, love that squirrel mug, shame we already have tons of mugs or I’d be tempted.
I’ve been to the snowdrop walk at Rode Hall again today, I went three weeks ago with Mum, this time I went alone so could spend more time there. Lots of daffodils as well today, which weren’t there last time.
This morning I spend starting one of my new garden projects, digging up the lawn and using it as a garden bed instead. I’m not used to digging so although it’s quite a small lawn it might still take me a while!
Good morning everyone, good luck with the garden Margaret, I’ve not done anything yet with mine, still trying to sort the fence out, we have decided what we type we want now hubs just has to arrange for quotes and timescales so probably a few weeks yet.
I settled for jewellery making yesterday instead of painting, my back has been playing up and I found sitting still a problem yesterday
Thank’s everyone for your lovely comments on my mug…so excited about these, got couple more coming this week. Hoping to trial a note book too at some point. Had a lovely day out with Hubby yesterday…fab lunch, trip to coast and walk along the beach before home for coffee & cakes…and my were they yummy!
Awww thanks Steph i played around with a couple of different background as the white one seemed to wash the mugs out, i thought the pink made it pop plus it matches my branding colours
Glad the wedding was beautiful and you had good weather for it Brenda …but oh my bet the kilt incident was an eyeful! I use to play in a pipe band when i was very little but thankfully the chaps did wear stuff below their kilts!
Hiya Jan lovely to meet you
Max really hope your back recovers soon…my chiro gets me to heat my back & do gentle stretching to easy mine when it’s giving me jip.
Good luck with the garden project Margaret …love to see the piccy’s too, sounds alot of work and very exciting too! I remember doing ours a few years back…it’s a big garden and had alot of features to be removed thankfully we used diggers, etc. Did take 2 years to do but it’s so nice to see all your efforts pay off when you can sit and enjoy it at the end. I’m off out in the garden today too, veg patch to pre for this years veggies
Oh Dear, I had a message from a customer in the US (other side sale) and the paintings that I posted on Feb 3rd haven’t arrived.
This is the THIRD lot of paintings that I have had problems with. One lot posted on Dec 22nd arrived at the end of February and another one took 4 weeks to arrive.
The reason I am telling you this, is that I think it advisable to only post one item at a time…no more posting multiple items. At least posted individually only ONE is likely to go missing.
I am still hopeful that the paintings arrive and of course I will refund the lady if they don’t but it is too expensive to do insurance on small items and I am sure it would put people off with the extra expense, so I have to take chances.
I have a receipt of posting but I understand that the hassle involved is hardly worth pursuing it…watch this space
Sorry to hear about your paintings going missing Brenda, hope they turn up in the end.
Not done any gardening today but I have been planning. I also tried drawing some delphiniums in preparation for a workshop in a couple of weeks but couldn’t get motivated to paint them so I’ve been sewing instead.
Waving Margaret and Max.
I hope my paintings arrive too…one of my artist friends has had a similar problem…worrying…I have only ever had one other painting go missing and that was to a lovely lady on here and she accepted an alternative.
I am just hopeful that I will hear that the paintings have arrived.
Brenda even if the Royal Mail don’t refund the item value you should at least get the postage back. I’m still waiting to hear from them re my missing one from last week. I sent my last multiple order signed-for, but it was in the UK. I’m not sure whether signed-for is worth the extra when going abroad as I’ve heard that they rarely get signatures?
Max I hope you’re feeling better soon.
Welcome back Margaret
Yikes is that the time, got to dash…here’s my sketch diary from last week
Waving Margaret and Stephie.
Did you see on facebook that a “company” have stolen images of Jean Haines paintings , put them on items like aprons and are selling them without her permission…dreadful…
Stephanie it will involve printing off paypal invoices etc…not sure if it is worth the hassle but the order was worth nearly £40 !!..I just hope the paintings arrive soon
I managed 5 aceos today
I also ordered the Jane Betteridge dvd and book, as I had £15 worth of vouchers to use up on the SAA site and I read that they are only valid for 2 years…some of mine have been there for ages, so I thought I had better buy something…my excuse and I am sticking to it…
Jane Betteridge does some lovely work, I shall look forward to seeing your interpretation Brenda.
I didn’t print anything off, just directed them to the sold artwork and uploaded a photo of the proof of posting. Of course it’s entirely possible (and probable) that I’ve got it wrong.
That’s shocking about Jean Haines. I hadn’t seen any news of that, I stopped following her a good while since. Will go and look on her page to see what’s going on.
Sorry to hear everyone’s having so much trouble with the post to US …i did order bits from US once via Amazon Marketplace , first lot took 6 weeks to arrive & 2nd lot 8 weeks. Would post be being delayed cos they have had bad weather too???
Love the colours in your winter walk aceo Brenda…very beautiful.
Steph just seen your sketch diary…love the squirrel & the doggie with stick in his mouth
I never made it in my garden either yesterday Margaret …rain stopped play
No painting for me today …but i have just had my first order for a squirrel mug (private sale not via folksy) …so very chuffed! x
that makes me feel more hopeful that the paintings will still arrive…I never thought about the weather. This envelope was going to Arkansas which doesn’t get much bad weather…however, there is the possibility that it might have gone to somewhere like New York first…I think that all post to the Uk goes to London first and is then distributed out from there…fingers crossed.
Morning Max…busy day then…wave as you go past…lol
Morning all…I have to ferry hubby to a hospital check up…probably more time spent just sitting around waiting…but at least the hospital is only a few minutes away.
Might even get some time to paint this afternoon…and maybe my new dvd and book will arrive…
