Thanks for your comment Max, I really appreciate it. I’ve neglected my blog lately and it shows in my views, I’ve gone from several hundred views per post to just 10 or 11. Must try harder! And of course all comments help with the views, so thanks again

Brenda if you’ve got all those mounts why not list them all mounted? You don’t actually have to fix them to the mount until they’re sold.

Lol a shirt week is … A short week badly typed on a phone that’s not keen on the folksy forum and “thinks” it knows what I want to say … Predictive text !!! lol

Waving all

Look forward to seeing your string challenge peice Max

HI all!!
I like the idea of the string challenge.

I have done a mini tutorial on my blog if you would like to have a look.

Have a nice w/e xx

Love that blog post Tessa, it’s very interesting. I’ve left a comment.

Are you going to join in the string challenge?

I have some tissue paintings I am working on at the mo and thought string would be good for stems. I am not listing here at the moment but could put it on FB is that OK?

PS Thanks for the comments, I have left replies. xx

Afternoon all…
Ha ha Hazel there is another word that your phone might have used as predictive text that wasn’t shirt or short…
Stephanie…I never thought of not sticking them to the frames but to wait to see if they sold or not.
Perhaps when other ones delist, I will relist with the mounts added.
The mounts that I have are all the same size, so I will be painting 7x5" then…lol…
I don;t really want the expense of lots of different size frames sitting in the house…but maybe if larger ones start selling, it will be something to think about. I can get frames from the Range but the quality isn’t as good as the ones I get from ebay and then I have to buy a few at a time because of the postage!
all something to think about.
Waving Tessa and everyone
In the mean time, here is today’s listing
.

When I started selling my pictures in mounts I stuck them in and one or two of them I’m now stuck with !!! So I have a couple of mounts I use for display and photographing and then when they sell I mount them just before posting. Most of my mounts come from a framing company so I have a very small stock but can always get more if I have a run on a specific size.

I have bought mounts and frames from The Range and the quality varies I find - some have been great - others not so …

Hi Tessa you don’t need to be listing here on folksy to join in the String challenge - just post your picture here in the forum  it’s just for fun.

Lovely blue skies here today - hope the sun is shining where you are too

Brenda I don’t know what you could be thinking of.

I do remove paintings from mounts sometimes.

Thanks Hazel.

Oh Tessa…how could you possibly think what I had in mind?..lol
Thanks Hazel (and Stephie)…I think that I shall be doing some more 7x5"'s and just putting them behind a mount for showing.
I HAD thought about offering the paintings with added mount if required…but that would confuse my technical brain with the payment side of things.
The sale of aceo’s seems to be slowing down a bit…even my groupie on the bay is now only bidding on alternate paintings…but I can’t complain because he has bid on every painting over 2 years !!.
It is funny really…as you know, I LOVE purple fantasy and would love to paint abstracts but I get the best comments on my landscapes…and I have never been keen on landscapes, but it looks like this is the way I should be heading in the future…
When I do a landscape that I really don’t like, I get comments like “Wow” or last week on one that I hated…someone told me that it was the best painting that I had ever done…lol…
signing off until tomorrow…“confused.com!”

Love that Max, it’s a fab interpretation.

Tessa it doesn’t have to be listed, it’s just a bit of forum fun.

Would anyone mind if I wrote a blog post on this challenge? @Coloursandtextures @paperchainsandbeads @HazelRayfield

I don’t mind at all Stephie. Just been to The Range, managed to restrain myself from buyng any art things but needed some new frames for the Exhibition in a few weeks

Have a great time Kelly!

waving everyone!

Max, I’m loving your bookmarks and coasters, those birds of yours look great whatever you put them on.

I’ve had a busy weekend, did a fairly long drive (for me!) to Hodnet Hall in Shropshire to a specialist plant fair, and having dug up what remained of the lawn I’ve been planning what to put where in my new patch.
