Art Chat - May

Ah that’s great to know, thanks Brenda, that sounds more manageable.

Good morning, sorry Brenda I forgot to say thank you yesterday about the travelling exhibition, am spread a bit thin at the moment with only a small amount of stock and not much time to catch up, but I would appreciate the details to see if I can do anything in the future, I hope it goes well for you. I forgot to say I got a call from our local library asking if I would deliver some workshops, the lady saw my work up in the exhibition and the venue it just 5 minutes walk away, may get chance to put my teaching qualification to good use :).

just listed this one

Wow Max that is really gorgeous. Wish I lived closer to you, I’d definitely come along to one of your workshops.

Brenda what a wonderfully soft snowy landscape.

I’m shopping this morning, yoga this afternoon. Hopefully I’ll get chance to list some new mini abstracts later on today, as well as update some of my very old photos.

Quick heads up too - I’ll be taking my stock out of my sale when I get a chance, here’s the link if anyone wants to grab a bargain before the prices go back up https://folksy.com/shops/StephanieGuy/collections/239332

I listed this last night

Lovely work Hazel and Kelly.

Hazel @HazelRayfield I’ve just looked at your most recent fb posts in the miniature groups that I’m in too, and from what I can see you have promoted direct 4 times, the other side 4 times, the bay once and none for your Folksy shop. It’s not comprehensive analysis by any means, I’ve probably missed some from groups I’m not in, and I haven’t counted the folksy shop group as that’s closed advertising to other sellers…but maybe that’s why you get more sales elsewhere?

Hi Stephie. Yes this month I have been more focused elsewhere for my miniatures - I’ve been trying out eBay again too - I don’t do it often - but this is after months and months of promoting my Folksy shop to no avail. In actual fact I think I have tried harder with folksy in recent months than any other area as I am doing OK elsewhere.
Thank you for your interest, maybe I’ll list a few more pieces and see what happens.

Hazel

That explains it  My notifications only go back to the 5th May.

I’m not a quitter - so not given up on folksy without a fight. But I am also a realist and Its only sensible to go with the ebb and flow as I call it. In fact I’m rather upset about it - the fact that it isn’t working for me here and all the hard work I have put in especially as this is where I started selling Art In Wax in the first place

Love your new abstracts for dolls houses  I do love all things mini after all

I hope you get more luck on Folksy soon @HazelRayfield. In fact, I hope we all do!

thanks Lowri … i hope you do well too

It’s hard isn’t it… I’ve been slacking a little bit with Folksy recently, I think it’s because I don’t sell a lot here so the motivation isn’t there- but I’m really trying. I’ve got some new products in my mind that I hope will go down well. I do quite well in the B&M shop I sell at, I have a bit of a following there- with people coming back to check up on my stuff- so I still feel confident in my stuff- it’s just a case of reaching the right people online.

Got a couple of images on the go today inspired by taxidermy, but I need to go and buy a shade of orange. Who’d have thought there where so many shades? It’s hard to chose the right one.

Brenda, I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Jean’s new book. I might get that myself. I’ve got £25 to spend as a birthday gift from my work admirer. Some of it could be used to buy this

So much art on here today, Max’s heron and Brenda’s winter wonderland stand out as exceptional to me but all are fab!
