Cancelling plus account

I am sure when I subscribed to a plus account last year it said that it automatically renewed the following year?
Anyway, I have just come on here to cancel it in advance and I have found a piece that says it doesn’t renew and you have to manually do it?

Can anyone advise please as I don’t want to renew (really don’t have the time to dedicate to Folksy as I’m too busy with other platforms!) and I don’t want to get caught out paying £45 for nothing!

Mine didn’t automaticially renew in that it didn’t just take money from my account.

I got a message to say it was expiring and a link if I wanted to renew/pay.

Yes, you get emailed to make the payment, it isn’t automatic.
