Ok here is the bottom line, I have the products to sell, I also have customers waiting from Facebook. I have noticed people on Folksy that have linked their catalogue to FB so I followed the instructions and it still does not work. I went to FB Commerce manager/ Add catalogue/Ecommerce for products, now this gives you 2 options Upload product info or connect a partner platform. I read that I need to use partner platform so I can link folksy but there’s no way to enter an URL, there’s only drop down menu for Shopify and Woocommerce and sites like this no option for Folksy. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong, the stress is unreal , many thanks in advance
Simon
I would like to do this too but I’m not sure it’s possible
I haven’t set it up myself, but I think you should be using the upload product info option instead and use the rss feed from your Folksy shop.
The first 3 steps of this cover adding your Folksy items to Facebook (hopefully Facebook haven’t changed anything with this) How to set up Instagram Shopping for your Folksy shop | Folksy Blog
Hi
I have got this set up on FB so that my FB shop reflects my Folksy shop.
Not 100% sure how I achieved it but I think you need to set up your FB shop then if you go into the business suite, select commerce, catalogue, data sources you should be able to add the folksy link there - I appear to have done it so it must be possible (and cant have been too complicated!)
I did it and it worked for about 3 weeks and then it said I couldn’t have an Instagram shop because I had to have a website and the Folksy website was already being used. I decided not to bother - it seemed too complicated.
@AlienWorld I don’t use the rss feed on my Facebook shop due to Facebook and it’s weird ways. I add the products manually, it’s a pain, takes a while if you have a lot in your shop but it works. You can easily add the product links that way but it does mean you have to fill out more boxes, add photos etc. I generally just add one photo, and a very brief description because the link takes them to the product in your Folksy shop anyway.
Thanks for the reply, I had a look at this but I cant find anywhere to put the folksy link, Thanks Simon
Oh dear I wish I could help but my FB track record was a non starter before it even started sounds rather complicated
I have managed to load all my items manually to the meta business centre , my shop is being reviewed. it has been like this for over a week. is this normal. any ideas how long this usually takes.
Yes for me it was about a week give or take, I can’t quite remember if they said it could take a few weeks though.
Thanks. Hopefully not too long then. I can tag my items on Facebook even though the shop hasn’t by approved. Strange.
No problem, hope you get sorted soon
Just got approved. Hurray
Congratulations Angela
