Christmas Market 2023 & Last-minute shopping event in December

@jenniesgems Which image number is it?

It is the free delivery template but it does download all the templates as well so it could be the last three that cause it

@jenniesgems Yes that will be it, the free shipping one works without a problem for me. You just need to make sure you untick the box that says “all pages” and select page 8 instead.

Thank you kim

Finally getting round to hurriedly adding my tags and realised that all my Christmas card listings had expired, good job this event is happening otherwise I wouldn’t have realised! :joy:

Hi Camilla @folksycontent just tried again now and still wants me to pay. I’m trying to download one of the bauble ones saying ‘this weekend’ with a discount code added for my shop for over the weekend and I’ve also tried a couple of the badge ones and they want me to pay too.

Any idea why I only got a first email for this today? (I am a folksy plus member) it also happened with other events too. I also never receive an email for the previews either. Can anyone shed any light on the matter please?

@SacredSoulArt The preview emails would be sent out to people who have subscribed to the buyers newsletter (I’ve been getting a pop up window about signing up for that before I sign in or there is a subscribe button at the bottom of the home page). If you are not receiving those I’m guessing you’ve not signed up to receive the buyer’s newsletters.
The previous email about the event was the sellers newsletter 9 days ago - you needed to scroll past the info on the webinar - did you receive that?. Most of the info has been on the forum or the FB clubhouse rather than by email.

@SacredSoulArt There were also emails mentioning it sent out on 11th November and 1st November.
If you received the one today you should be signed up to seller newsletter and have received the rest as well, although there’s a chance your email might have put them in a spam/junk folder or similar.
To help stop that, you could add postie@folksy.co.uk to your contacts or set up a filter so emails from that address always go to your inbox.

Hi,
Can we also tag everything in our shop or is there a limit?
Thanks x

I didn’t receive the email today Kim, I’m pretty certain I am already signed up to the newsletters and I did receive earlier emails about it and early access to the last event…perhaps a gremlin at play

I’ve just seen the subscription links at the bottom of my account so have added my email details again to those, however I do already receive the sellers emails and news.

@kernowclaire from reading the blog post you can tag as many items as you want but only the first 3 will appear on the event pages that will be linked to the home page (that way no one shop will dominate the event pages). When one of the items sells out then the next tagged item will take it’s place on the event page. It will be the first 3 items tagged in your shop that appear in the event pages.

Thanks, I am signed up but tried agin last night just to clarify. Thanks so much for your response :star_struck: (and they are not in my spam folder as i check that daily too. :pensive:) xx

thanks, I am signed up for the sellers email so maybe I need to do the buyers one too? Thanks so much for your response :star_struck:

I might be being thick here, but I can’t remember how to do this: last time (for the shop early for Christmas weekend), I remember having to label three photos and send them to Folksy for uploading into the event, as well as adding a special tag to my listing. This time, do we just add the button to our image and then use it in our listing, and the items will be automatically added to the event page if we use the tag ‘craftmas’? I noticed last time that a good number of the listings hadn’t used the canva templates but simply the tag.

It works the same as the last ‘Shop Early’ event Jacqui.

Just add the tag ‘craftmas’ to your listing (without the quotation marks) and they will automatically be added to the Craftmas Market. You can tag as many items as you like but only 3 items from your shop will be shown on the page at any one time, and these 3 are based on the order in your shop.

You can also use the templates on Canva if you like for your main/first image but this an optional.

I think you can also change the item order in your shopkeeping page and this will change which 3 are shown.

So I am subscribed to all email notifications, checked my spam box and still nothing :pensive: I had no notification of the preview? How odd and frustrating! :expressionless:
