Craft stock clearance

Hi All

Like Sasha I am having a good clear out much to my husband’s delight!

Due to weak hands and fingers i am selling all of my Sculpey Oven Bake modelling clay and gleam gilding waxes. For those who model this clay know it has to be worked to soften it, which I just can not do any more. I loved making beads with it. It’s very popular for clay jewellery makers.

They are all un opened and a fraction of the price to purchase from craft suppliers. They have been stored to the manufacturers recommendations.

They are in my shop under craft stock clearance if you are interested. Sorry about the delivery charges as it is not light weight.

I use to love sculpey, my two children made models with it, i still have them, some little bears and a wizard. I only recently found it and threw it out as I didnt think it wouid be much good now, my youngest is 28.

Quick question - I’ve not heard of this type - is it similar to fimo?

Yes, it’s the same concept.

Hi Debbie

Good to hear from you. I have some gorgeous cotton broadraonglaze (i know i have spelt that wrong) trims i think you would like. I don’t want anything for it. I will dig it out and post on to you next week.

Sculpey if stored correctly doesn’t have an expiry date. I threw away some which seemed very hard. The rest seems to be o.k. I found making beads very therapeutic especially after my horrendous deep open brain surgery for the anryism. If only i had the strength in my hands now. I feel quite sad offering it for sale though. It’s as if i have started to give up on myself! I suppose that seems to most a strange thing to say!

Oh mine was ancient but it was just in a box with other stuff..unfortunately not stored as it should have been and it had gone hard and I knew I wouldn’t get around to using it again. It really is brilliant stuff I am sure someome will jump at the chance if they can use it.
I understand what you mean, it’s very hard accepting this is it and we can no longer do things.
I didn’t learn to drive until 18 years ago and when i did I bought a citreon c3 SX in black, I called her Black Betty, anyway less than 8 years later I stopped driving but couldn’t bear to part with her, she sat on the drive unused costing me money for a couple of years. She was all I had left of my previous life before ill health changed everything so I wanted to hold onto her. My son turned 17 and took lessons, when he passed his test I gave him the keys and said he could look after her for me, Black Betty is 22 years old, fingers crossed still going strong and Carĺ still drives her. I’ve not tried driving again…yet !
Try not to think of it as giving up on yourself, think of it as clearing out the old to make way for the new.
I’ve been saying for a long time I need to declutter my stash but never get around to it, however now that my shop has gone quiet I might think about it as my enthusiasm still hasn’t made a full appearance, at least it will be time well spent.
Aw thank you so much Gail for thinking about me with your trimmings but I must give you something for them if I can use them.

Good advice Debbie. Absolutely no money for the trimmings. You are my dear folksy friend i have never met, yet we have so much in common. Nowever, i don’t have your address to send it too! How do we get over that without everyone knowing!

Hi Gail, i asked Folksy about it some time ago as I may have some bits to give away if anyone would like anything..they said it is ok to list them for Folksy sellers with a minimal price of something like 20p so it can be done as a listing (that way you can add the postage charge on as I really would want to make sure that is covered). It’s so lovely of you and thank you so much but I would happily pay for them. Alternatively I could email or use the contact button in our shops.
Wouldn’t it be lovely if we actually could meet up with all of our Folksy friends, we certainly would have a lot to chat about x

Hi Debbie

I have listed the bag of bits in my shop under Clearance section. Hope you like them, if not i will delete the listing.
