Custom request

I have had a message for a custom order. When it is completed is there a way for the customer to buy it without it appearing in my shop for other customers to see? Or do I list it like other items and email her the link straightaway? Thanks, Chloe

I’ve just listed the item as a custom order and sent my customers a link direct to the item, not sure if that’s the right way to do it but it’s worked for me.

Thank you! I assumed that is what I needed to do. I’m used to Etsy and they have a way of doing it so only the customer can see it, so I just wondered

I put the item on Folksy as a listing, no image but Custom order on my logo as image, then send them the link.

Ah… good idea. Thanks

I put RESERVED in the title, leave it tucked away at the bottom of my shop and send the customer a link. Always works for me.

Thank you joy. That’s a good idea. X

I have only had one through Folksy but I did put a photo because it is nice for other customers to see - and I titled it with ‘reserved for Fiona’ in the title. Seemed to work OK!

Thank you Kirsty. I think I’ll do that… a photo is a good idea so other potential customers can see

I would just create a custom listing starting with the word - RESERVED in the title
and reiterate in the description this listing is custom for a special customer, feel free to contact me for your own :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi! That is exactly what I did and the order is now bought and shipped
Thanks for your advice
