Daily Listing Challenge and Group Promotion Thread - September 24

Well done on all those sales everyone - at last September is starting to pick up (you never know with sales sometimes it’s a drought and sometimes its a regular sales fest). Special congratulations to Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio - your first sale is just very special - Well Done! :champagne:  :sparkler:

I have flatlined too . I’ve really lost the will to make anything new when nothing sells.
Ah well. Just keep plugging the sale items

Good morning everyone it looks as if it’s quite a nice day out of the window but it is still chilly. I have my heated blanket on while I am sitting in my chair here.
My shop often only has infrequent sales but I am fortunate in that I don’t rely on sales for my living so whatever sales I get are always a bonus.
Well done on all of the sales that have taken place especially to Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio
Today I have a choice of a blue or pink crystal bicone heart pendant and earrings set

well done Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio …the first of many xx
Ha ha Sarah @dotterypottery …I wondered if pulling up his shirt he wanted you to view the goods first…ha ha
OK…so me being me…( what else would you expect…??)
I had been to the family planning clinic and had been “manhandled”…the doc opened the clinic door for me to leave but I still hadn’t replaced my undies …(which incidentally were red satin ones) I could have gone to the ladies but the car was outside, so I though…never mind and drove home without them.
Next day in Sainsbury’s I got to the checkout, unloaded my shopping and when it was time to pay, pulled out my purse along with the undies, ( that I had forgotten about) ( yes I had clean ones the next day ha ha)…and my undies travelled along the conveyor belt to a thin weedy looking checkout operator named Mr. Willard…ha ha

I had an email about an hour ago telling me that the only Christmas fair I’d booked to do coming up at the end of November has been cancelled. I did the fair last year and had such a good time and so many sales.
I’ve got box loads of stock made that I’ll now have to some how sell. So, can’t concentrate on anything and decided to make a coffee and pop back here to the thread to love more goodies.
Sat and read Sarah’s and Liz’s happy stories with tears in my eyes as they’re both so lovely…get down to Brenda’s and I’m still smiling after a good giggle.
Thank you to all of you for giving me my happy moment. Very well timed.

Morning everyone.

We really enjoyed Snow Patrol last night Anna @Fififoxi . We’ve seen them a few times - I think the first time was in 2010. This was a really small concert for their latest album launch in a nightclub so probably not much bigger than when you saw them!

Just a relist today.

Louise @thestitchyroom …that must be so disheartening.
I loved my days of doing fairs and really miss the fun and people. I have to rely on Folksy now…I ditched the E and the EB last year.
We just have to keep smiling and doing what we love doing…i NEED to afford another pair of red satins…ha ha
I am waiting for a story from Joss @XStitcherJoss

Hello all

Sending best wishes to those feeling down or unwell. It’s disheartening going through spells of no sales (not that I’ve had spells of big sales!). I don’t think I’ve made that much over the year above the Folksy plus membership price! I’m still thinking about changing to the basic account and have less items for sale. I have till October to decide.

Anyway, it’s lovely to hear the nice stories! We got some good news today anyway… my son unfortunately had failed his driving test back in July (he was devastated). We tried with someone through his driving instructor who said she could get cancellations but that didn’t work. Anyway yesterday I went on the DVSA website at 6am to get a local slot when they’re released and got him a slot for 26 February (that’s how far behind they are!). Well, I told his instructor and today she managed to get him a swap, so he’s now booked in for his test on Monday! He’s at college now but will be over the moon - he’s desperate to drive into college. So that’s my good news for the day!

I’ve just listed this mini acrylic painting:

Congratulations to those with sales.
Really enjoying the stories they are really cheering me up.
My horses and cat are my daily happy moments, even though when I am not feeling so good all I do is feed one end and pick up what comes out of the other!! :joy: Mind you the horses are now contributing to the household - their lovely well rotted muck produces some really tasty stuff.

Happy stories, eh? Reading about your other half’s marriage proposal, Sarah @dotterypottery, reminds me of a very happy occasion. Back in 1967 I was preparing for a university ball, and wanted to make myself a ball gown. I can’t hand-sew without a thimble - well trained by my grannie - but I hadn’t got one at uni, which was 200 miles from home. OK, so I had to buy one. Sounds easy, right? Not so. I have very large hands for a girl. In those days there were plenty of small haberdashers, but we must have visited ten or more before we finally found a thimble which would fit any finger other than the little one. It was late in the afternoon before we located one. Francis @thatenamelguy bought it for me, and then went down on one knee and proposed with it. Anybody else ever get engaged with a thimble instead of a ring? I still use it - as a thimble, not a ring. We did buy an engagement ring later, from a pawn shop in the Land of Green Ginger in Hull. That do for a story, Brenda @teabreaks?
I thought I had shown you this small shirt yesterday, but as it has no loves I presume I didn’t. Oh well…
