Hello I am hoping for some guidance from you all as a new seller on folksy, I would like to list digital files that I will email to the customer after they have purchased.
I would like to clarify a couple of things. With the new GPSR rules if I select UK excluding NI and set delivery cost to £0 will that stop them being bought by anyone in the EU or rest of the world etc ?
My second question is do I have to message the buyer to ask for their email or is it provided at time of checkout for me to use to email them the pdf ?
Hi, if you don’t want to ship to NI and EU leave the box blank if you add £0 that means free shipping. If you leave the box blank it comes up with doesn’t ship here. Just add your shipping costs to the United Kingdom boxes.
You will also get an email from Folksy with the customers email address when you make a sale. I hope this helps.
@HandmadeCraftiness the email address is also shown in the order on your dashboard - like in the image below. If you want to try it out and see what both you and the customer get, put a test item in your shop for £1 then buy it yourself. Just remember to delete or hide the item afterwards so no one else can buy it!
This was a test order my OH did earlier this year to test my payments were working properly. I’ve blanked out the personal details, but have circled in yellow where you will find the email address.
