Ever start a project and regret it?

Yeah, currently knitting a shawl for my other shop but its one of them where every row is a short row (knit so many, turn, knit so many, turn, knit to end etc etc) and this makes it crescent shaped. It is seriously doing my head in and cos I have to count stitches every row, its like counting sheep and I start drifting off to sleep. I am having to make myself do one pattern repeat a day, which is about 3 hours work. Just over a week worth of knitting left at this pace and I can’t wait!

I think you have just found the reason why I only ever knit scarfs and blankets - knit one row, purl the next repeat until big enough. Let us see the pictures when you’re done.

There are pictures on my FB page which is www.facebook.com/drapedinlace Knitting lace is much nicer, as it is more varied. I hate boring knits zzzzzzzz

at the moment I would love a boring knit, my cardi is actually now 2 rows short of the armhole, its knitted in one piece, cables at each end with shaping, arghhhhh. When it is finished I am going to knit blankets for the Sylvanians beds in my daughters dolls house!! Suzzie x

Boring knits mean that I can knit and watch telly at the same time! (and a blanket has the added advantage of keeping me warm as I knit it) Very impressed with the shawl on facebook.

You’ve saved yourself an end of week status up date query - I was going to ask if you were up to your armpits in knitting but you have answered my question. They are predicting that it will get cold again end of next week but will it be finished in time to keep you warm…

Ditto, can only knit and watch telly, ( thats why my cardi is taking so long, too many distractions what with Poldark, Bannished and Masterchef!), but when I am knitting bed blankets for the Sylvanians, I use the cat as a heating device, apparently a fat cat can give off 7 - 9 watts of heat. x

I could wear it as a gillet, maybe…x

@EileensCraftStudio how’s the daughter? Meds all sorted so that you can both enjoy the weekend.

I finished the shawl today when I decided that it was now big enough. I was planning on using all of the one yarn so that I have no left overs but was totally fed up of it and its plenty big enough anyway. New pictures are on my FB wall, link in previous post.

That looks amazing - reminds me of a dragon for some reason.

She’s doing well now thank you Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE.

 most of my on the go items are for my personal use, but I have 2 small paintings that I was thinking of listing… when I finish them I’ll let you know and collect my cheer… it may be a long wait

this is lovely!

Remember this, well I managed to finish it and hey presto I took it to a craft fair today and sold it.

Oh brilliant news:)

It’s pretty little Christmas gift bag who wouldn’t love it

It’s a decorative basket @EileensCraftStudio the idea of it is to put a Poinsietta plant in or Chocolates, Pine cones or even nuts. The picture isn’t very good because it doesn’t show the inside.

ohhhhh that sounds lovely just the thing for a table centre
