Expired Items Showing

Odd query. I’ve been looking at my stats and in the Most Viewed bit is a photo of something that I originally put up for sale in 2013, long since expired and somebody has just liked it! When I click on it, the page comes up with all the info from that time. I can’t understand how this has been done by this person, from the Shop view. This isn’t supposed to happen is it? Has it happened to anyone else?

Links from social media sites (eg pinterest) to expired items will still work so long as the listing hasn’t been deleted. They will take the person to the listing (even though it is not visible in your shop) but it will show up as unavailable, they can still favourite the item and contact you from the page just not buy the item. The links will stop working if you delete the old expired items.

Thanks Sasha - I thought there’d be a simple explanation, I just couldn’t figure it out!

I’ve also had quite a few long expired items coming up as most viewed - Items are so old they don’t show in sold items anymore so I assume it’s maybe people clicking through from Pinterest etc. Just tested this out and if you click through this way Folksy appears to let you like the item even though it’s out of stock. Suppose if there’s a lot of interest it’s an incentive to make more.

I have had this for about a year, there was a post on here that explained where they are coming from but I’m sorry to say I can’t find it now.

If a customer left a review for the sold item then people can click on that and it takes them to the item page (it does say “unavailable” and where the price usually is says “sold out”) I’ve started to look at some of my older items that are getting a lot of views and wondering if I should recreate them to add back into my shop.
