FB, Timeline or Albums, what do you do?

Facebook has changed over the years and photo’s in albums used to be a big thing so I’d like to ask those who have a business page…

1. Do you put new photo’s into albums or do you just put them on your timeline?

2. When you are looking at other peoples pages do you check out their albums or do you just look at their timeline?

I’ve neglected my page somewhat and want to remedy that, I was debating the best place to upload new pics

Hi Jan

I’ve had my little Facebook Page a few years now.

I mainly use my IPad to post things to my page.
I know I’m probably not seeing all the features by using the app as I would if using a laptop etc… but it’s just so much more easier to use.

I didn’t even realise you could create an album. :hushed:
I’ve just tended to publish to my timeline and gone from there.
I’m going to have a little look later to see if I can work out how to create an album.

I’m not really a big fan of FB to be honest. I keep posting away in the hopes someone finds me, but it’s just so lonely there unless I join in the groups.

I post to my timeline and never use albums. I tend to post a mish-mash of work-in-progress, finished items, the odd meme and the odd plcture of a place I’ve visited (to explain why I’ve done no work! )
For that reason, I’m not sure albums would really work for me. I don’t tend to look at them on other pages either. I’m more likely to scroll down the timeline or to click on “photos” so that I can look at all the photos together.

I don’t use albums on my shop page, although I do on my personal page because I’m trying to keep a record of our home improvements. But on my shop page I just tend to put photos on my time line. I don’t often look at albums on other pages, except when there is a market night or something like that, I can see they are useful for events like that.

I just want to add that I like the collages that some people do, I think they are done using some form of app so no good for me as I work on a PC, but it is nice to mix up the look of the page with things like that.

I have albums, but I tend to forget they are there and just post on the page. Occasionally I’ll update them…but not often!
I rarely look at others albums…

@plumporridge, I create all my collages on my PC using an app called Pic Collage. If you don’t have a way of viewing PC apps on your PC, you can find it by googling Pic Collage. It doesn’t cost anything to download. Hope that helps.

Ooh Helen, thanks for that, I have always thought that apps were for smart phones only, I will look that up.

I have managed to download Pic collage and make a simple collage, but I think I will need a bit of practice. I can’t actually work out how to move it to FB or anywhere, but I will eventually! Many thanks xxx

I just save it as a picture and then upload it to FB as I would any other photo.

Amanda, there’s also Canva.com for creating collages, I don’t have a smart phone so use my laptop, it’s fairly easy. Happy to help if you get stuck.
