Folksy 365 - Daily Listing Challenge Thread - JULY 2020

I’ve contacted Royal Mail via their website to clarify if you can put the mail in the post box without a bar coded CN22. I’ll let you know what they say… It might take a few days to get a reply

It is still Summer, not that it feels like it. We need our clothes on.

Another new card today. Great colours @TinkATextiles. LOL @ChrisStoneArtist @teabreaks. can i add ‘Import Intrigue’ and ‘Export Exhaustion’
I have a question re ACEOs- do they have to be on paper? I’ve seen some 3.5x2.5 canvas boards so thought I might make a couple!

Interesting read. Ha ha ha Chris @ChrisStoneArtist, and Sarah @thedotterypotter…And Brenda @teabreaks Customs Confusion - love it!!! I only sell to people in the UK, but like Shirley @TheBeadHare I always use Click and Drop, and pay the postage online with PayPal. I fill in the name and address of the customer; weigh it, and then print a label off. Saves a visit to the Post Office. Brenda @teabreaks - just type in Click and Drop Royal Mail. If you find that you are happy with their system, you can then register with them too, as a business. Well done Sue @SueTrevor for the clickable picture!!!.
Anyway, I have loved and pinned to here, and will be back later to list!!!

Max @MaxPringJewellery, one sale to report please.

@SulikoSoul an aceo can be on paper, card, board and even on felt if you want to make one. The only rule is that the measurements must be 2.5" x 3.5" and a work of art, painting, drawing, embroidery etc.
They also need to be flat ( ish) …so only a few mm thick as people like them to fit into their photo albums or the tiny polybags that are made for the people who collect football cards .
Mustn’t be a large chunk of wood etc…canvas boards should be fine as long as they are not box canvases as those would not go in photo albums …hope that helps…looking forward to seeing what you do.

I agree with SallyAnn @thegreetingscardshop - printing postage labels is easier than youthink. But then I’m only selling within the UK at present.
Thanks for the insurance tips, Julia @SulikoSoul and Jocelyn @XStitcherJoss. I always had public liability for craft fairs but have let it drop as I haven’t been going to any and didn’t think about product liability. I’ll get onto it today before someone scratches themselves on a bit of wire thread or something. Thanks also for the bracelet like, Jocelyn. I’ll set up a discount code for folksy forum sellers, I think.
Lots of lovely work since yesterday’s post, especially the beautiful colours in your cushion, Ali @AliDufty (but how did you get hold of one of my kitchen chairs? I didn’t notice it was missing!)
Also knocked out by the bag Linda @wildrosedesigns and lovely earrings from Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery and Valerie @jenniesgems. Lots of others too but I’ll stop there and show you another new bracelet

Brenda - size doesn’t matter! (stop sniggering everybody else). You have been paid for the contents of the package so it is considered ‘goods’ regardless of the size, there is a tick box on the CN22 for ‘sale of goods’ which you should be ticking. Max and Deborah have both said they will send you some of the CN22 forms with the barcode that they have picked up from their post offices on your behalf. You can put your stamps from Tesco and one of those forms on your package and then pop it in the post box with no need for you to go to the post office yourself.

Morning all, apologies for my absence these last few days, been catching up with family I’d not seen since Christmas and been also taking a bit of a break from all things online. Caught up with today’s listings and just a re-list from me until I finish off a few things.

Reading about the customs forms makes me glad I can get to the local post office and let them sort it out.

@SashaGarrett…spluttered in my tea there…lol…come and join me on the naughty step…
I read on the post office site that you can use the forms without the bar code and can print them off…they even give a photo for you to print them from…
How am I supposed to know which of the forms I need…barcode or no barcode?.
.Pat @CuriousBeadCompany I looked online about printing and it was full of business jargon and as soon as I saw something about adapting my printer…I left it alone…I hate technology…

Hi everyone, sorry that I haven’t been present for a while and hope you are all well. I have been busy producing an abundance of kits ready for appearing on hochanda craft tv in August. My printer has been going 24/7 and still a little way to go.

Heres my listing for today and theres another 30% off everything using code bbv30 (until 31st July)

ha ha…talking of printing off postage labels and Max @MaxPringJewellery be aware…on the dark side the admin IT have had a glitch…and one woman was charged £1,485 for a couple of shipping labels ha ha…lots of people saying that they have been charged hundreds of $'s by mistake…

Brenda don’t worry about the form on the royal mail website. Max and Deborah have said that they will post you some of the correct forms for you to use with your stamps. (please make sure that they both have your address) Once you have put that form and the stamps on your package you can pop it in the post box.

Hi @SashaGarrett ( just giving you a break from CN22 s really! ) but glad you had a good weekend in the end. That saw must have been a brilliant distraction for your orderly queue. I have heard others say that the virtual markets are good for extra followers and the like, but now there are many more it will be getting competitive, so probably more than ever, picking the right one is key.

Caught up to here.
Congrats to everyone else with sales.
Beautiful bags @onesweetiepea and @wildrosedesigns.
Love the watercolour @Marjansart and your quirky artwork @wonkycowcrafts. Great pendant @beadsbyverchiel.
Good luck with the ACEO @SulikoSoul. I’m planning to do another later in the week. Current painting is (will be) one from the imagination, but I’ve spent two days thinking about it and haven’t picked up a paintbrush yet!
A relist today. Cat Rides to Catford
