Awww isn’t that so lovely that he bounced back and I love that you both ride the stair lift together, I hope ypu have plenty more time with him.
It’s the first bear with ashes I have done but I also thought what a lovely idea, you would laugh though, I made a small velvet cushion to put inside yused what I thought was a small enough scoop spoon to put the ashes in…I soon realised I needed a smaller one when some of it ended up on my hand…we live and learnl
@teabreaks and @VioletFlameGlassArt we could have a good little business going here, I will go and consult the oracle cards to see whether it would be a worthwhile one if it’s a borderline result I think we should put the question to tarot..anybody have a crystal ball ?

For a while, I did offer psychic portraits on Folksy ( I checked with admin first) and although I still do them, I mostly stick to my hand painted cards at the moment xx
I think there is a strong link to people interested in these things and those who are artistic x

Yes but without our sales they don’t earn their commission and when people start moving elsewhere they will lose more income. I am baffled as to why it couldn’t have been rolled back because no amount of buyers feedback is going to outweigh the feedback from the sellers who are also buyers on here. If the sellers arn’t happy with it there won’t be any shops for buyers to purchase from and many of us are the top sellers on here. There must have been copies taken at the time of change, there’s no way a new system would be rolled out without backing up the old one first, i would think everything is backed up at least once a day, in my last job i took a back up for the whole system twice a day and took the previous hard copy off site with me incase of fire.
If there hasn’t been a bug in the system the changes that were made don’t make sense and in all of the help and advice on the blog and emails sent out to new shops it refers to using keywords in the title, description and tags. If none of that now applies we need instruction on what does because new shops setting up are also following that advice.
It would have been better to roll back to the previous day as soon as it became apparant that it was not going to work, it’s now over a week so rolling back now is going to mess a lot of stuff up, which means we have to sit and wait.

They’re still getting their guaranteed income from listing fees and Plus subscriptions. The commission they get from sales is just a bonus.
The only thing that will make a difference is sellers voting with their feet.

I think things have changed a little, i have been making the same searches again that I have done over the past week or so and this time some of my bears came up when searching for teddy bears.
In the search for rabbits the shop that was on long term holiday mode has now gone which is good however, those items have been replaced by more from the same shop that already had at least 3 pages of items and now probably fills more than 5 out of the 7 pages shown.
But it does mean changes are being made somewhere so fingers crossed it will continue, the only problem I had was not having the shop names displayed, it took a lot longer than it would have done to check which shop they all belonged to.

Unfortunately if I search ‘tote bag’ I’m still getting the same results. There are 2 of mine on pages 3 & 4 but the results seem to be dominated by what appear to be mass produced bags that have something printed on. I know these are allowed if they have the makers design on them but just a few shops are dominating the results. There are so many lovely shops which make beautiful bags and many are missing completely. It’s so unfair.

A “paintings” search is still bringing up a lot of jewellery and eggcups! The search pages don’t seem to share any sort of uniformity with the rest of the site, which for the most part is neat and orderly. The search page is a hotch potch of random results covered in those horrid red price stickers and the ghastly banner mid page. Not only is the search function ugly, it really isn’t functioning as it should.
I have just built a website on Wix and I could get rid of/ move that banner in seconds. What’s taking them so long?

I thought that it had improved last night but this morning it seems to have reverted back. Maybe Folksy are working on it ?

I think the ‘Them’ is the operative word. As far as I am aware there is currently only One of them who actually does any technical stuff and that is Doug. I am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong in that.

Whatever may or may not have improved the shop search is still totally illogically and wrongly searching the sellers about me when you search for a shop name.
Try looking a Nursing and the shop search and you will find yourself !

I am amazed that you can be found by your pet! I searched Alaskan Malamute and Newfoundland and mines the only shop that comes up

Oh yes it is still totally misfunctioning, but the shop that was closed has gone but very disappointed to see her items have been replaced with more from the one seller dominating a search for rabbits… that one shop fills over 5 pages of results from the 7 it chooses to show which is pretty good promotion for them.
Mine still do not show at all.
