Hello Sophia, I read on the blurb, non folksy plus sellers can join in, but just won’t be seen on the folksy pages.
So my questions are: can non folksy plus sellers still add 'seconds Sunday ’ to their item title and to the tags of said item without it being removed?
Or are you only envisaging us using #folksyseconds in our social media promotion?

Hi - can we list in advance of the date? I assume that if we can the items won’t show until February 5th? Or do we have to wait until February 4th to add? Thanks

I have just read the blog post and I am ever so slightly worried about using the ‘sale’ feature to advertise a reduced price for something that is newly listed - legally, doesn’t an item have to have been on sale at a higher price before you can discount it to a ‘sale’ price? I have a range of seconds in my shop but I’ve always just priced them lower than my regular items, rather than using the ‘sale’ tool. Can I continue to do that for the Seconds Sunday event or do I have to use the ‘sale’ feature in order to be included?

If it’s not an end of line or sample which would have a reduced price, you don’t need to use the sale feature. Just make it clear in the title and description that it’s a second and therefore selling at a lower price than other similar products.

@shafeenan you can list them as soon as they are ready. The page won’t go live until 7am on Sunday 5th February.

Thanks for clarifying - that’s really helpful.

Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE I asked about this in the captains group and apparently a whizzy bit of code has been written which will filter out non plus shops using the the seconds tag so they won’t get featured on the site. Not sure if the whizzy code also works on the titles but the event is going to be driven by the tag. You can still use the tags on social media.

Thank you Camilla, it’s really helpful to have that clarified!

Thanks Sasha, so it’s #folksyseconds on social media! My sale stuff is already in my shop, so I won’t bother adding tags, but will promote on Instagram xx

My painting isn’t showing up in the Seconds Sunday section, Ive checked tags etc and it’s all there, Im a ‘Plus’ seller so it should be there, but Im not seeing it… oh well.

Hiya @PaintedHorseArt just had a check & I could see your abstract painting! I clicked on the home page section, then refined by Art, then Paintings. You’re on the second page  xx

Thank you so much for looking, I was searching Paintings, subtitle acrylic and it wasn’t showing but as long as it’s there somewhere that’s fine.

It won’t be showing in the acrylic section because you listed it in the abstract section instead (the sections down the side match up with the categories and sub categories you select when listing an item).

Thank you Kim, I didn’t realise you could only pick one or the other, but as long at it’s showing up somewhere I’m happy.
