Folksy says 10 for yesterday, GA is saying 40??? Who is right???
If Folksy just takes the numbers from GA why the difference. Maybe adim can explain to me please.
Folksy’s viewcounter often seems to not work properly. GA seems a lot more reliable, no idea why.
The Folksy view counter only includes ITEM views, not shop views (i.e your shop front page). GA lists both.
As Christine says (and i have said repeatedly in threads about viewing numbers) Folksy only counts views on a item page whilst GA counts all views to your shop. So 40 people visited your shop but between them only looked at 10 specific items. If you tweet/ facebook about your shop in general you will direct people to your shop front which won’t necessarily lead to higher folksy viewing figures. If you tweet/ fb about a specific item it should translate to more people viewing that specific item which would show up on the folksy views.
(realising I might sound a bit ranty there - sorry - not fully caffeinated yet)
