Glue for fabric question - can anyone advise?

Hi there,

I have a DKNY hooded top that the letters are coming off from :disappointed_relieved:

I wonder if anyone knows what type of glue I need to buy to stick them back on please?

Thank you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Take care,

Katrina :sunglasses:

hi Katrina, that’s a real pain about the letters coming off. Hi-tac fabric glue may do the trick, it’s available online from the usual shopping places. I found this online:

“The package says: Spread a thin layer of glue to both sides of the fabric using a brush or spatula and let dry for 10 minutes or until tacky then press the fabrics together using even pressure. Excess glue can be removed with water before it dries. for greater strength iron at the hottest temperature for the fabric, let dry for 24 hours before use, cures fully in 4-5 days. can be gentle hand or machine washed. Cool wash only at 30 degrees maximum. Do-not pull glued fabric when wet.”

See as it’s lettering on a top, I’d iron on the reverse, just to be safe.

Hope that helps. Elaine

Hi @elliestreasures  Thank you sooooo much for your help!

That glue certainly looks worth a try :sunglasses: and I’ll make sure I iron on the reverse too.

Thanks again for your help Elaine - have a great day :hugs:
