I’ve put my shop in holiday mode, but I just want to check, if it’s in holiday mode, my items shouldn’t come up in a search should they? Mine don’t, but when I’ve looked items from other shops in the same search, their items do and they are on holiday mode too.
Also, even though I’m in holiday mode, my shop should still be found when you search for a shop on the homepage shouldn’t it? Mine doesn’t, but yet other shops who are on holiday do.
People will still find my shop if they use the direct link from my business card, but I’m wondering why other shops who are on holiday mode are still visible, but I’m not
Hmm, I have had a look and it seems to be as you say, Natalie. I can’t see why. The only thing I can think is that there is a known bug with Search at the moment and this might be an aspect of that. I would ask @dougfolksy to have a look for you.
Thanks for checking for me @HelenCliffordArt Helen, it’s a strange one isn’t it! I’ve sold quite a few things for Xmas pressies, so it’d be a shame for my shop not to come up if someone searched for it… I don’t like being invisible xx
Hi, I can’t see your items either. Although I didn’t expect my items to be visible if I was on holiday mode so I was quite surprised. I have loved a few of your bits to see if that helps. Hope you get it sorted soon x
my shop is the same when putting in holiday mode was going to close it for a few days but have decided to keep it open for now don’t like the idea of it being invisible
Ooh, I’ve just had another check and my items are now showing up in search again, but my shop isn’t. Maybe when you put your shop on holiday mode now, it takes a while for things to update? I’ll check the shop search function again later to see
I put my shop in Holiday Mode yesterday and this morning I did a search before I logged into Folksy to see if it came up - it didn’t!
I then took my shop out of Holiday Mode and logged out of Folksy. I did another search whilst not logged in and again my shop does not show up - what is going on??
I have just done another search whilst the shop is not in Holiday Mode - it does come up but once I put it into Holiday Mode it disappears. Have decided not to use Holiday Mode!!
Do you think people will ever search for your shop? Are they not more likely to search for items? I know it’s not right, but as long as your items appear, that’s the main thing.
