Hi folks,
I’ve been selling on the site for several years and am always delighted when someone leaves me feedback. I’ve just purchased an item from a new seller and want to leave them some glowing feedback, but for love nor money I can’t see a link to do so. I thought I would get some kind of e-mail prompt for Folksy, but haven’t received anything yet. Any ideas?
Try going to your purchases. Should show there.
I’m having the same problem. Someone said i would receive an email after a week with a link but imstill waiting. Also waiting for a customer to be able to leave me a review on a purchase. Not simple.
If you go to your dashboard and scroll down the headings on the left hand side, you should find :
Activity
- Purchases
- Reviews
- Notifications
I seem to remember it took me ages to find it too, and I have no idea how customers find it!
Probably why only 1 in 3 of my customers have left feedback.
Perhaps this is something @folksycontent could look at improving?
Mind you - be careful what you wish for!!!
I didn’t get a prompt from Folksy for 2 weeks after a purchase.
If you were logged in when buying then you’ll be able to leave a review from the review section that @GlintBeads described above.
If you weren’t logged in (or haven’t already left a review) you’ll receive an email from Folksy 13 days after purchase. If it’s been longer than that and you haven’t got an email, check any folders like spam/junk to make sure it’s not there, and if not you can contact support to get them to check and send the link.
Also, if you had been logged in and hadn’t left a review within the 13 days, after this time you’ll also get a notification on the home page reminding you to leave a review.
Feedback has got to be as simple as possible for customers, I find a lot do not bother unless Folksy sellers as probably find it too taxing to bother with.
@Caroleecrafts I think a lot of the problem will be with the review emails ending up in spam/junk folders, which unfortunately there’s not really anything Folksy can do to avoid.
Unfortunately I’m not sure there is a simpler alternative for guest buyers, as you can’t have on site notifications when they’re a guest, and you have to make sure the person leaving the review bought the item.
A lot of people who contact us about not receiving links are just because it’s too early. The timing got extended from 7 days to 13 days during the pandemic to allow for the large amount of postal delays. When the timing was shorter, a lot of sellers were receiving negative feedback because the buyers got the review emails before the item, even though with the delays enough time hadn’t passed to reasonably consider it late. The extended time helps allow for impatience with short delays or international orders, and although the post had largely gone back to normal, with the amount of strikes coming up, it wouldn’t be good to reduce this again right now.
Than, you Kim. With the upcoming postal strikes think the delivery times will be even longer.
