Is Folksy for only UK residents? I thought it was? Do Folksy check addressees?
I thought it is just for us here, that’s all? I just wanted clarification.
Folksy is only for UK based sellers yes. Buyers can be from anywhere though.
If there’s a shop that you have reason to believe is from elsewhere it would be best to let admin know.
This is the quote taken from the ‘selling on Folksy’ page.
“I’m not from the UK but I want to join Folksy. Is this OK?
No, sorry. Folksy currently only supports sellers who are living and working in the UK. We had strong feedback that this is what our buyers and sellers wanted. We’re pleased to support UK crafters and showcase the best of British handmade goods.”
Why don’t Folksy pick up their location? Surely this can be done? It’s a while since I joined so can’t recall if they need our address?
Looks like the person is from elsewhere but lives here. Guess that’s fine, but, still wonder if the address needs to be UK as anyone could say they live in the UK can’t they?
