Is there a problem with the server

Can’t say I’ve seen any improvement. Still can’t log into the forum on my tablet (I’m using my phone to post) and still can’t access the site at all - never mind log in.

I appreciate Doug working so hard though. Sounds like he needs some help so he can take a break.

Good Evening

Folksy is now fully back up and running after an outage today. We know how disruptive this has been for our sellers and we really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

We will be sharing more details soon about what happened and how we are safeguarding against future issues.

I can get on Folksy and my account on my ipad but my laptop is giving me “403 Forbidden” message.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I agree we should be kept informed.

Thanks for that. I have cleared the cache, but will try a different browser. Never thought about that but I know it has worked when I’ve had issues with websites in the past.

Major Incident Management 101…

A UK major incident protocol for a server outage involves preparation, identification, containment, and recovery phases. Key steps include having an incident response plan, identifying the incident’s severity, containing the issue, and then working to recover services and perform post-incident analysis. It’s crucial to contact the hosting company immediately and establish alternative communication channels for users and stakeholders.

Because of our work always prepared. Always have a ‘go bag’ ready. Even now have one ready for evacuation or hospital emergency. Easier than panicking, just take from the cupboard and away.

Always had one for the don when we had one.
