Items sold elsewhere while shop in holiday mode

I put shop in holiday mode for today as I had a small craft fair on. I have sold a few items that are currently in my shop. So my question is, do I simply delete the items from the shop or is there some way I mark them as sold (even though not sold through Folksy) before I reopen?
Hope I’ve explained myself ok and that someone .

You just delete them or amend the totals of each product.

I wouldn’t delete them. If you have them on Pinterest or anywhere else, they will no longer link to your shop if they’ve been deleted. I tend to hide them from sale if they sell elsewhere. If you go into listings and select the items, you can then click on the “hide from sale” tab. Then if anyone clicks on a link to those items, they will show as unavailable but will still link to your shop. Be careful though - when they reach their expiry date, they will move into your expired listings, so take care not to accidentally relist them.

thank you x

I zeroise the stock qty and prefix the title with Sold. This moves them off my shop front display into my ou tof stock list but if someone has followed a link to the listing they will see it, see it is sold and hopefully contact me to ask for another. Also useful for me as I can then tell immediately that it was sold elsewhere and not on Folksy.

Thank you Joy, that sounds like a good option. Unfortunately I have already deleted some, but a few I was able to just reduce the stock number. Most of my items are one-offs which I can’t repeat exactly so maybe not too disastrous this time. However I think your idea is good and will do that in future.
I’m still struggling to get customers and sales to Folksy which is why I took an opportunity to take part in a very small local event which resulted in some sales, and hence my question. Thank you for taking the time to email me, it’s much appreciated.
Kind regards, Wendy

Just bear in mind if you delete a listing and someone clicks on an old link somewhere (Facebook for example) it will take them to a “Page not found” message. If you set stock number to zero it will take them to the item page, it is has an obvious “sorry this item is unavailable” banner across the top of the page but also allows them to go to your main shop page where they might see something else they want to buy.

I put 0 in the qty box which then shows them as out of stock. I don’t delete as I may make the same item again then the listing is already there.
