I did suggest a pound a month Brenda, but as pointed out those that subscribed would subsidise those that didn’t,myself I don’t care about that and they could stick a pound a month on my bill to advertise,I wouldn’t shoot myself in the foot for the few didn’t want to pay.

Folksy could tag it onto people’s bill…might not always work but the alternative could be a few more pence a listing…however, that would penalise those who list more…
I could do a few hang gliding demos to raise cash…ha ha

The only way forward is to put it to admin,those that don’t want to subcribe or can’t don’t have to,it would do no harm.

It’s interesting that someone can do well on the auction site as well, I wouldn’t have thought that was possible.
Well I’m going to give it a go with some originals at some point and pray for a wealthy buyer with eclectic taste to stumble upon Folksy!!!
I have done that James…I think it should be part of the condition of having a shop…Quite a few people seem to like the idea and if a tv ad is too expensive then certainly a full page ad in one of the top magazines would surely be affordable…coupled with an article about folksy and a few featured shops…they could just pop £1 on everyone’s bill (just once a year) and £1 on the plus account once a year…everyone is connected to paypal so I cannot see the problem…just a bit of admin to do at HQ.
I really think it would help us all…people know about eB and ET…so let’s see if we can tell them about Folksy as well.
On the auction site I have listed every week for 10 years…I never leave my page empty and I have gradually collected regulars…I am sure we could do the same on here…and get more money than the auction site…it is just a case of getting people to know about Folksy.
If people want to buy something and you ask them where they will go there are top answers…
The one that is worldwide…AM…followed by EB (that used to be cheap second had stuff but not any more…all large shops now have shop on there) and ET that quite a few people have heard of…Folksy rarely gets mentioned which we need to change.

Even a folksy fair may get tv coverage if it could be set up,we may not all be able to attend but if it was big enough.

Evening all, sounds like you’ve got a plan going there! I would be happy to contribute to a one off tv ad campaign but not regularly unless everyone contributed through higher fees.

Good morning, lovely work Brenda and Stephie. I had some material that I can print on delivered yesterday, including cotton, a type of felt, cotton slub, georgette and even silk, how marvelous is that! not sure yet what to actually print on it mind, I’m going to have some fun tomorrow

they look great Stephie, I wonder though if it would be a good idea to show one without the insert, your text is perfectly clear that it is just for the cover but it might be worth while just so customers can see it ‘naked’ so to speak. I once forgot to say that an ACEO album didn’t come with the painting and ended up including it just in case, having read a thread about something similar where the customer had complained 
ps the material is sort of stuck to a base card, no idea how it will turn out but I’m going to have fun finding out
