Afternoon all, fun painting Brenda  been having a play with my printable material, it’s really good, so far used cotton (the owl) and a kind of fuzzy which I turned into a dollhouse rug

They look fantastic Max, especially the owl. Do you have a special printer or just a regular one?

Brenda, I’ve just mentioned on the other thread but if I still went out drinking, I’m pretty sure I’d look quite a lot like your partygoer :joy:

Thanks, it’s Hawes Bank sailing club near Coniston, here’s a very blurry photo taken on location

The other paintings are of the trig point at the top of the old man, and some flowers in the garden of the cottage we were staying in

Haha, me too Brenda (not really - I’m definitely a mug kind of girl!)

I have a china mug for during the day and an Edwardian cup and saucer for evenings

I love a lovely little Tea cup but I confess to drinking absolutely anything out of a mug, even cold drinks. I do have glasses, but muga have handles!

Lovely work from you all, I love love love Pam’s Dandilions. Dawn- your mugs look lovely, your shop is so colourful! Great experimentation work Max- your tiny things are always so cute. Brenda- love your cartoons.

Here’s a poster print I’m listing on Monday

good morning, thank you for lovely comments :). Dawn @thecuriousartofmadamej I don’t think you need a special kind of printer, it doesn’t say on the packaging but I do have a fabulous Canon S100 professional printer a treat to myself, I also use archival inks and the print quality is fabulous, not sure what kind of results you would get with a regular printer but maybe worth a try. I have an idea for something else to try with the materials but you’ll have to wait and see hopefully next weekend as we have the little one over this weekend and whole family for brunch :).

Thanks Lowri @twinkleandgloomart - I just love bright colours, the more the better! I don’t really know much about colour theory and it bores me a bit to be honest anyway - I just tend to go with what I feel at the time and hope for the best! Your mermaid is lovely. I’m with you on mugs v glasses - I just grab whatever is nearest

Hope you have a lovely time with the family this weekend Max @paperchainsandbeads. I’m hoping to treat myself to a decent printer too (one day…!) - yours sounds fabulous and the results you have on that fabric are stunning.

I coloured and doodled another of my digital outlines yesterday, I’m not sure what to do with them but it was relaxing to do!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Love this .

Loving all the work on show today…we are getting back to how this thread used to be…great.
Twinkle and gloom I think I would love to get inside your head (if that makes sense) It is odd what we all choose to paint…my favourite thing is painting people…cartoons, portraits etc and I HATE landscapes , which for some bizarre reason I seem to be good at…mmm…weird…
max…if you print on fabric can the fabric be washed or is it just for things like book covers?
Stephie…the lake district is beautiful (if sometimes a bit wet). My son is on a weekend at Windermere as I type…
Welcome Pauline to our art thread…
Dawn…wow, such a lot of intricate work…very detailed and a lovely mix of colours.
I have another cartoon today…a card and envelope…blank inside…

Brenda your cartoons are fab. My dad loved his father’s day card thanks

I’ve just listed a travellers notebook with red elastics, and I’ve added photos of just the cover too (thanks Max)

Haha, Brenda<3 There isn’t anything that interesting going on inside there.

It’s weird, ‘girls’ are my specialty, I think it’s simply because I have so many questions, and so much disappointment in the way women are presented in the media at times that the only thing that keeps me from being a bitter ‘feminazi’ is by poking fun at elements of my own frustrations. I sort of try and belittle my own issues with things through my Artwork. I’m so shy, that sometimes it’s the only way I know how to get myself out there. Don’t get me wrong, I have loads of fun making- it’s not a sit in a dark corner job, my work isn’t serious.

Does anyone else feel that they draw from their frustrations?

Brenda, I wonder what draws you to painting landscapes when you hate making them? You really are wonderful at them, I never see a dispassionate landscape from you, there’s always a lot of life in them.

Love that girl Curious. I’d love a dress like hers, pinks and oranges are so deliciously retro together<3

Ha ha Lowri…I have absolutely no idea why I am drawn to do landscapes…I want to be doing purple fantasy, fairies…abstracts…but my paintbrush has different ideas…it goes into automatic pilot…lol…
