Max, I haven;t had a chance to use the acrylics on the aceos yet…Weekends seem to be SOOOO busy…and I have been making Welsh cakes and cooking dinner…now I have to catch up on the emails…
Hopefully I can get going tomorrow…

Evening ya all, am shattered but well worth it, had a fantastic day sales wise. That sounds like fun Margaret.

I’m just sat down with a glass of wine and hubs is making dinner :grinning:

Great news Max, it makes it all worth while when the sales go well

Margaret that workshop sounds super! Great price too. I was invited to run a card making workshop for Diwali a couple of weeks ago but I know nothing about Diwali (including how to spell it, probably) so declined the offer.

Leslie your mosaic is lovely, fab idea,

Waving Hazel and Brenda!

I just had another Folksy sale - fingers crossed things are picking up for us all.

And I spent a happy afternoon sketching people in Costa while daughter Kit did her German expose. It’s funny but I can sketch people that are in front of me with no problem, but cannot for the life of me construct a person out of my head. More practice required!

Sounds like fun Margaret

Glad it went well Max - I never thought I would like doing fairs but the miniature ones we have done have been fun, Im hoping to do more

Look forward to seeing your sketches Stephie. Does your daughter prefer to work out of the house, I know my niece (now at uni 2nd year) use to like to work at the library when she was doing her A levels - no distractions like at home …

I might paint some boats today !!! sold another one via the other side this morning so might do a couple to replace that one

Morning, everyone

Waving Margaret

I’ve just listed this one - I drew it in July whilst Kit was swimming in that VERY cold sea filled pool at Bude, and added some colour to it yesterday - prompted by an urgent need to remember how to paint lots of rocks lol

I have been to both Bude and Barry and I agree, the rocks are very similar…lots of layers of colour. That is lovely Stephie…reminds me of warmer days…
Pam, another lovely painting…well done…
Max that is lovely…love the colours…a really fun painting
Margaret…I did 2 acrylic 7x5’s on canvas board and one aceo in acrylic. The problem I encountered on the aceo was that I was using canvas paper and cut it to size first. Every time it got damp, it curled up into a sausage…lol.
I managed to do it (almost had to sit on it…lol)…and as always got paint everywhere…though I think I am improving a bit…
I am now waiting for it to dry and then I can flatten it in a book…ha ha…I will take pictures tomorrow…

Wonderful colours in those rocks Stephie,

Very vibrant sheep Max!

Pretty lavender field Pam, makes me think of summer.

Hope your Acrylic ACEO flattens OK Brenda!lol

ha ha Margaret…I did think of sitting on it but that might just destroy it…it is now inside a heavy book…watch this space…lol

WOW some lovely art in here this week

Love the sheep ACEO especially Roz

I haven’t been posting as much for a couple of reasons, I’ve been busy painting and my phone doesn’t seem to want to load the forum as it use to !!! I can read OK but when it comes to posting its very hit and miss …

I have been doing some more miniatures and these are my latest listing here on Folksy today, a set of two tiny paintings just 1 x 1.5 inches each … I sold several sets like this at the fair last month so have painted some more, these are for online

Morning all…welcome to the world of aceo’s Roz…those are fantastic…love them
Morning Hazel…wow, those are tiny…
I decided after trying to paint acrylic on canvas yesterday that next time, I will mount the canvas onto cardstock first AND give the canvas a coat of white acrylic or gesso…as the one I did looks dreadful…one for the bin I think. However, I did two others on canvas board and they turned out quite well…
